**Job Responsibilities**
+ Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.
+ Cooks and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
+ Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
+ Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
+ Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
+ Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
+ Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
+ Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
+ Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
+ Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
+ Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
+ Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
+ Ensures security of company assets

**Qualifications**
+ Experience as a cook or in a related role required

+ Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervises Patient Services Workers during meal service. Delivers nourishments and/or snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian in a timely manner. Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department?
  • May obtain food preferences/dislikes from patients and/or family members?
  • Communicate all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Food and Nutrition Services Department?
  • Ensures that nutrition diet care orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections?
  • Maintains and adheres to all sanitation standards by following assigned cleaning schedules. Completes other sanitation tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Relief Supervisor?
  • Lead, train, and support Patient Services Workers in their roles supporting patients / residents?
  • Inventories and re-stocks pantries, refrigerator, and freezers on assigned unit(s)?
  • Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers?
  • Understands therapeutic diets using established protocols and provides assistance as Supervisor if an error is observed?
  • Assists the clinical staff in ensuring all patients' basic nutrition care needs are met?

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Registered Professional Nurse with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Professional Regulation.
  2. Current BLS/CPR and/or other required unit specific certifications.
  3. Current ACLS
  4. Must have Labor & Delivery experience Minimum one years.
  5. Basic EFM Training/Certificate required prioe to completion of orienation.
  6. Effective communication skills (oral and written) that facilitate therapeutic relationships between patients, family,
    and healthcare providers
  7. Intermediate computer skills with the ability to become proficient in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with on-the job
    training

Position Summary
The Staff Nurse I provides direct patient care and takes the initiative to improve patient outcomes by integrating Shared Leadership, Evidence Based Practice, Relationship Based Care, and standards of nursing excellence into clinical practice. This position integrates professional practice model, current standards of practice and clinical experience to provide "quality" patient care as measured by established nursing quality standards and other governing/accrediting health care bodies. The Staff Nurse I engages and obtains information from patient and/or family to advocate for the patient, develops an appropriate patient educational plan, and responds to patient's changing needs while sharing information and collaborating with other members of the health care team to promote effective patient care. The Staff Nurse I participates in organizational, departmental, and shared leadership activities; supports department and unit goals in daily behavior.

Duties & Responsibilities
Develops, implements, and updates the patient's plan of care based on on-going assessment of the patient and input from the patient's family.
Shares information and collaborates with other members of the health care team to promote effective patient care.
Verifies and implements orders from physician, physician assistant and/or advance practice nurse by performing interventions as prescribed by the provider and documenting accurately in the electronic medical record.
Engages and obtains information from patient and/or family to develop an appropriate patient educational plan.
Recognizes symptoms, establishes priorities, and responds to patient's changing needs.
Engages support personnel by delegating appropriate tasks per the Illinois State Nurse Practice Act and provides support and feedback.
Advocates for patients, families, and their significant others, the community, and the nursing profession.
Integrates theoretical knowledge, evidence-based research, current standards of practice and clinical experience to provide "quality" patient care as measured by established nursing quality standards and other governing/accrediting health care bodies.
Assumes role of Charge Nurse when assigned, utilizing appropriate resources and tools.
Collaborates with other nurses to identify, promote, and provide positive learning experiences for staff and students.
Serves as preceptor and/or resource to other nursing, support staff and students.
Takes responsibility for continued professional growth/development by identification of learning needs and initiates strategies to meet such needs.
Other duties as assigned.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Eligibility for licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Professional Regulation.
  2. Current BLS
  3. ACLS & PALS Certifications required.
  4. 40 hours M-F /10 hr shifts. Rotating day off during the week.
  5. Rotating on call M-F and weekends and holiday.
  6. Effective communication skills (oral and written) that facilitate therapeutic relationships between patients, family,
    and healthcare providers
  7. Intermediate computer skills with the ability to become proficient in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with on-the job
    training
  8. Excellent attendance, interpersonal skills and work history required.

    3. BSN or MSN or DNP Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
    4. Must obtain STABLE certification within 3 months of hire
    5. Minimum one(1) to two (2) years of recent NICU experience
    6. Current advanced cardiac life support, or within 6 months of hire for main hospital.
    7. Effective communication skills (oral and written) that facilitate therapeutic relationships between patients, family, and health care providers
    8. Intermediate computer skills with the ability to become proficient in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with on-the-job training
    9. Excellent attendance, interpersonal skills and work history required.
    10. Must obtain STABLE certification within 3 months of hire

  • Collaborates with other nurses to identify, promote, and provide positive learning experiences for staff and students.
  • Serves as preceptor and/or resource to other nursing, support staff and students.
  • Takes responsibility for continued professional growth/development by identification of learning needs and initiates strategies to meet such needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


  • Minimum Qualifications

    1. Registered Professional Nurse with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Professional Regulation.
    2. Current BLS/CPR and/or other required unit specific certifications.
    3. BSN or MSN or DNP Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
    4. Must obtain STABLE certification within 3 months of hire
    5. Minimum one(1) to two (2) years of recent NICU experience
    6. Current advanced cardiac life support, or within 6 months of hire for main hospital.
    7. Effective communication skills (oral and written) that facilitate therapeutic relationships between patients, family, and health care providers
    8. Intermediate computer skills with the ability to become proficient in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with on-the-job training
    9. Excellent attendance, interpersonal skills and work history required.
    10. Must obtain STABLE certification within 3 months of hire
