SEA 21, NAVSEA's Director of Surface Ship Maintenance, Modernization, and Sustainment is seeking professional support services to support the Government's existing organization, personnel, knowledge, and processes.

SEA 21 integrates sustainment and maintenance strategies, modernization plans, training needs, and technical, logistics, and programmatic efforts to best manage the lifecycle of U.S. and partner Navy surface ships and systems from fleet introduction through transfer or disposal.

SEA 21 is the dedicated life cycle management organization for the Navy's in-service surface ships and is responsible for managing critical modernization, maintenance, training, and inactivation programs.

Logisticians integrate the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environments.

Logisticians are responsible for directing the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance.

The Logistician prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped.

It is the Logistician's duty to develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and equipment.

The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). Key Role:

Compile, review, analyze, and record financial information to the general ledger. Perform month-end closing. Prepare and review journal entries in accordance with GAAP and internal policies. Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data and address any discrepancies. Complete bank reconciliations promptly, investigating and resolving any differences. We are looking for a strong, experienced candidate with 4+ years of experience in software development and DevOps who can come in, learn some of the individual projects and eventually work their way to managing teams and delivering for our client(s). The ideal candidate will have a degree in computer science, th ability to code in Java, Python and/or C# and have demonstrated experience working in AWS environments and intimate knowledge of their services. Consulting experience and direct work with managing stakeholders/end clients is a big part of this role having the necessary written and verbal communication skills do so effectively is paramount.

Must Have's:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics or math
• At least one year working in a consulting role and/or having the ability to do hands on technical work as well as driving projects and solely managing stakeholders/end clients
• Strong technical fundamentals of software engineering and/or DevOps (must be able to do the work from scratch if needed)

• Run cables, fabricate terminations/connectors, and harness cables aboard vessels.
