Position Overview
This role is based at the Washington Navy Yard, DC. The Project Management Specialist JR provides essential support for both civilian and military personnel on the PEO Digital contract. Responsibilities include preparing, updating, maintaining, and delivering program management documentation that contains military data for the designated Government organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and coordinate project schedules, timelines, related to products or services.
- Facilitate and coordinate the completion of tasks that support business operations.
- Gather and organize data from various sources, including computer systems.
- Conduct interviews with employees and managers to collect relevant information.
- Identify and resolve problems within various fields or specialized areas.
- Examine data to determine critical factors and select the most effective methods for analysis.

What You'll Be Doing
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Management Specialist, Mid to provide operational and administrative support to Project Management teams. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth execution of project activities by coordinating meetings, tracking assignments, managing documentation, and facilitating communication across internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong project coordination skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings and prepare related materials
- Collaborate with SMEs and senior leaders to gather project requirements and support document tracking, data entry, and letter generation
- Support project tracking, triage consults, and manage requests through established workflow tools
- Assist with reporting and data queries related to project assignments and work status
- Document responses to ad-hoc data calls or assignments from other offices
- Maintain and organize the central repository for business process documents
- Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure content accuracy, policy alignment, and adherence to agency style and format
- Draft, edit, and finalize documents for SME and leadership review within required timelines
- Support the Program Manager in facilitating project meetings and maintaining schedules, risk logs, and corrective action plans
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in project management or project coordination roles
- Prior experience supporting project teams in a regulatory or government setting is a plus
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Mid-Level Project Management Specialist (Level 3) to join our dynamic team in Oklahoma City, OK. This role is pivotal in supporting the Project Management efforts on our Development Services Contract with Boeing Defence Australia (BDA). The selected candidate will play a key role in cross-functional integration and planning activities for the BDS portion of all E7 Australia modification projects. We are looking for a proactive team member who can effectively collaborate across functions and capabilities to ensure adherence to the Project Management Best Practices (PMPB) in both the proposal and execution phases of our projects. Ideal candidates will possess strong project management skills, experience with relevant tools and methodologies, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
- Performs analysis (trend, variance, impact) and risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, process improvement, program initiatives.
- Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
- Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers.
- Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
- Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
- Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Experience working in cross-functional teams or projects
- Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience in preparing and presenting executive level briefings
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience using Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and processes and methods
- Experience with office tools such Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Shift: 1st Shift, occasional work outside of standard business hours (evenings) may be required
