Duties and Responsibilities

The role of the Pipefitter consists of applying standard practices and procedures for the pneumatic and hydraulic assembly of automated assembly and welding systems used in the aerospace industry from onset to installation at the customer facility.

  • Cut, thread, or hammer pipes to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, or pipe benders.
  • Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, or related equipment, according to blueprints.
  • Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair, according to specifications.
  • Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met.
  • Inspect, examine, or test installed systems or pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
  • Sets working pressures, valve sequencing, hydraulic pressures, etc. Familiar with component functions (hydraulic and pneumatic valves, check valves, ball valves, FRL's, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School degree or GED preferred.
  • Apprenticeship or technical school preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an equivalent position.

Utilizing a combination of machined fixture components and components built in SLA machines, clean and assemble tooling for use in manufacturing. Will operate the SLA machines by adding raw materials as needed, starting build files and removing completed builds. As a Production Worker, you will be an integral part of our production line, operating equipment and ensuring product quality through inspection, stacking, separating, counting, and packing. You will conduct quality checks and accurately record information while monitoring machinery and equipment operations to meet performance specifications and requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment on the production line.

  • Inspect, stack, separate, count, and pack products.

  • Conduct quality checks and record information accurately.

  • Monitor machinery and equipment operation to ensure products meet specifications.

  • Ascend and descend stairs or ladders to access machinery.

  • Keep up with machine production rates.

Skills:

  • 6 months to a year of production experience.

  • Ability to perform general labor tasks.

  • Proficiency in packaging and general production processes.

  • Experience with quality assurance checks and inspections.

  • Ability to use tape measures and load materials.

The Production Worker role is a vital part to the overall operations to the plant. And the experience you have may make you a perfect fit to join our team. You will be called upon to assist with, and may be assigned work in, any area of the plant, including coating lines, slitting, shipping, receiving, paint vault, and packaging.

Some of your Responsibilities include:

  • Retrieves and transports bare coils and maintains flow of metal to lines by safely operating cranes, fork lifts, and upenders without damaging material or equipment.
  • Trims, packages and bands finished coils according to customer specifications using proper skids, bands, pads, and wrapping materials.
  • Inspects coils and identifies and reports defects.
  • Reads and interprets production schedules.
  • Accurately identifies proper skid and package specified on schedules.
  • Reads and accurately records coil weights, order numbers, etc.
  • Loads or unloads received or shipped coils onto or off of trucks.

As the selected candidate, you will need a high school level reading and writing, visual acuity to read labels, meters, gauges, documents and instructions, in addition to the following:

  • Ability to read and comprehend written materials such as schedules, SOPs, work rules, etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all members of team.
  • Ability to safely operate small manual and electric hand tools.
  • Available to work up to 12 hours per day on rotating shifts, that could include weekends and holidays.
