Key Job Responsibilities- Lead dynamic training sessions for Komatsu Mining's cutting-edge Hard Rock equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation both on customer sites and within Komatsu Mining facilities.
- Spearhead the creation of engaging technical and operator training programs for underground loaders, trucks, drills, and bolters, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely development aligned with product launches.
- Evaluate and select external technical training partners to enhance training effectiveness and innovation.
- Guarantee compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining Komatsu's rigorous quality standards in all training initiatives.
- Utilize advanced training technologies and simulation systems to deliver immersive and impactful learning experiences, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and expertise.
- Serve as a frontline technical resource, offering expert guidance and support during equipment demonstrations, warranty adjudication, and customer technical inquiries, reinforcing Komatsu's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Technical trades diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering with practical equipment experience.
- 5 or more years heavy equipment industry experience.
- 5 or more years operating heavy equipment in a mining environment; bolters, jumbos, loaders and trucks
- Experience facilitating training on technical equipment.
- Experience with BEV equipment is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated competence with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and air water systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible, self-motivated and driven to achieve customer satisfaction goals and targets.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office to develop and facilitate training in electronic platforms.
- Ability to facilitate technical training and impart detailed information including strong public speaking ability.
- Hold MSHA certification, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Be open to varied shift schedules and willing to travel globally as necessary, equipped with a valid passport.
- Be physically capable of working in an underground environment as required for the role.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English is required, and bilingual capabilities in Spanish are considered an asset.

As an Equipment Engineer, you will support Kiewit Mining operations throughout North America. **Responsibilities**
- Long/short range equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting for all major equipment manufacturers - Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi and more
- Spare part procurement and management
- Create and maintain tool/filter lists and documentation
- Inspections of equipment and parts
- Logistics management and communication
- Planning and paperwork processing to prepare for critical lifts
- Use reliability and failure analysis data to increase equipment availability and reliability
- Establish and maintain communications between all levels of supervision and management
- Support of craft maintenance technicians - ordering parts, manage inventory, schedule crews, and manage quality and safety
- Specialty projects as needed
**Qualifications**
- Has obtained an undergraduate BS degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Construction Management
- 2+ years of experience with mining or heavy civil equipment is preferred. Internships considered.
- 2+ years of experience with equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting is preferred. Internships considered.
- Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done
- Strong organizational, time management and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on multiple projects at once while prioritizing tasks
- Willingness to travel and relocate as required
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system is preferred
- Knowledge of CAD modeling programs is preferred
- Willingness to work in both office and field environments
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site or equipment yard in wide-ranging climates and environment
Other Requirements:
- Regular, reliable attendance
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
