Qualifications:
- Licensed or qualified to be licensed with the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA). As a licensed minister, the Pastor of Family Ministries will pursue licensing and ordination goals set forth by the C&MA.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role with demonstrated record of healthy ministry and positive references.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute ministry plans for assigned ministry areas in alignment with the vision/ mission of the church including: setting goals, developing and overseeing staff and lay leaders, mobilizing volunteers, building teams, designing/ implementing policies, and expanding the reach of the church in the community.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated proficiency in current resources for family ministry.
- Commitment to participation in the life of Long Hill Chapel (LHC) and its greater community as an expression of a life of discipleship and mission.
- Commitment to collaboration with C&MA, Metro District and other partners for increased Gospel impact in the Chatham, NJ region.
- Direct, oversee, champion and implement the mission of LHCStudents (6th - 12th grade) partnering with parents to help students explore their faith and make it their own.
- establish and communicate the vision for LHCStudents being a safe place for students to explore their faith
- plan and deliver relevant and relatable message series for students facing real world issues
- oversee and participate in the coordination, planning, and leading of all LHCStudents events with the support of the LHC Staff and volunteers
- identify and attract volunteers in coordination with the LHC volunteer coordinator
- retain and train volunteers by providing and coaching them through the best systems and processes to become better leaders
- manage and maintain communication with parents, guardians and mentors
- oversee and lead LHCStudents to create an environment where students are encouraged to make wise choices, positively influence their peers and experience personal growth through leading and serving others
- commit appropriately half the workweek to LHCStudents
- Direct, oversee, champion and implement the mission of LHCKids (birth - 5th grade) in alignment with the vision of LHC with relevant ministry goals
- identify, attract and schedule volunteers in coordination with the LHC volunteer coordinator
- retain and train volunteers by providing and coaching them through the best systems and processes to become better teachers and leaders
- design/ implement policies that provide a safe environment for the children
- manage and maintain communication with parents and guardians
- commit approximately half the workweek to LHCKids
- maintain regular in-person office hours as determined by the Lead Pastor.
- regularly participate in LHC staff/ leadership meetings and initiatives.
- participate in the life of LHC with regular presence in weekend worship and special events alongside/ in addition to regular ministry responsibilities.
- oversee and, as needed, participate in the pastoral care needs of those involved in their ministries and, as needed, in the needs of the congregation at large.
- The Pastor of Family Ministries:
- is amenable to the Lead Pastor, and the District Superintendent as a licensed worker of the C&MA.
- will be provided a performance evaluation at least annually, which will be based on the role description, as well as on the mutually agreed upon ministry plans and goals for the relevant ministry areas.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

- Must complete diocesan background check and Safe Environment training.
- Certification in Youth Ministry or Catechetical Leadership.
- Bilingual (especially Spanish/English).
- Musical ability or familiarity with contemporary Catholic worship is a plus.

The Family Ministry Coordinator ensures that Ecclesia's Sunday environments for children (birth-5th grade) at the West Side campus are seen, known and loved. As the hands-on leader of weekly kids programming, this role exists to help children experience the love of God while supporting volunteers and partnering with families. With a heart for ministry and a gift for logistics, this team member ensures every detail is ready so ministry can happen with joy, intention, and care.

- Set up, host, and clean up Sunday kids space

- Manage weekly volunteer scheduling and communication
- Collaborate with the Children's Ministry Director and campus staff to support families, children, and volunteers throughout the week
- Prepare and organize curriculum materials and classroom supplies; monitor and submit weekly supply needs
- Maintain safety protocols including check-in systems, class rosters, and adult/child ratios
- Ensure rooms are tidy, activities are age-appropriate, and spaces are safe throughout the week
- Assist with seasonal family events, spiritual milestone celebrations, and churchwide gatherings
