**Position Summary:**
Must be able to learn how to read recipes, production icings, and weigh, package, and label icing buckets. Also, must learn to operate mixers, lifts, etc. Make sure product is of good quality as it is packaged. (Weights, appearance, etc.) Must be able to follow safe, sanitary food handling policy to prevent contamination and food borne illnesses.
**Starting Wage:**
$18.00
**Schedule:**
Start time: 12pm; Monday, Wednesday-Saturday (Sunday and Tuesday Off)
Overtime frequent and required
Schedule may change on production needs and holidays
**Education:**
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

**Qualifications:**
Ability to work with deadlines and follow directions. Since this is a production line it is easy to fall behind and hard to catch up. Basic math and reading skills. Work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible work schedule, weekend availability, occasional Tuesday, Sunday, and holidays are required.
**Physical Requirements:**
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Read and understands mix formulas, use a digital scale. Must be able to keep count of production. Able to work independently and with others. Requires constant bending, stretching and good eye/hand coordination. Pulling and pushing carts filled bags, boxes, and buckets of ingredients. Stand for long periods of time.
**Other Duties:**
Clean work areas. Wash all equipment, take out trash. Varies according to production needs, occasionally may have to work in other production areas.
**Environmental Conditions:**
Exposed to constant indoor temperatures of 75 degrees or higher.
Noise: loud machines. Chemicals: Cleaning solutions.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Mixer - Machine Operator 2nd Shift**
+ Operate and setup machines that mix chemicals, apply coatings, emboss holographic images and slit rolls of film in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Perform a variety of machine setups and operations to imprint a coating, and design onto various film, some material slitting and rewinding, as well as material handling and finished product.
+ Follow production schedule to adjust and changeover machines.
+ Operating rewinding machines and ensure they are maintained.
+ Record production run quantities following SOP's, job order, and perform quality controls checks on product and materials.
+ Attention to detail and utilize good communication skills are critical.
+ Maintain a safe and clean work environment, follow written SOPs and PCs instructions.
+ Set up and operate slitting machines to cut various types of coated or imprinted polyester film materials to specific sizes.
+ Make required machine changeovers. Adjust slit width, load and unload materials from unwind and rewind parts of machinery.
+ Closely monitor converting processes, inspect material for obvious visual defects, make machine adjustments if necessary.
+ Assist in ensuring that machines are routinely maintained; that specific product material stocks are available and ready for production runs. See that items in low supply are replaced.
+ Record production run quantities, job orders, product and materials used, machinery down times. Label and pack completed rolls in accordance with requirements and SOPs.
**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE**
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Experience within a manufacturing environment and /or mechanical aptitude are preferred

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

We are currently looking for a Mixing Operator Team Member in the Arden, NC area. This position is responsible for weighing and measuring bulk ingredients into manufacturing tanks for blending. We have two day shift positions available.
- Day shift will be 12-hour shifts; 5AM to 5PM with alternating 3-day weekends.
Main Activities:

**What you´ll do**
The Mixing Operator position serves the role of executing production in the safest, most efficient manner possible for the manufacture of product that meets or exceeds our customers' expectations. In doing so, the Mixing Operator bears responsibility in the following areas:
+ Handling addition of raw materials and chemicals to mixing equipment for the production of adhesives and sealants
+ Following safety standards, operator is responsible to follow the batch order for the correct addition of raw materials and settings for the mixing machines
+ Responsible for following quality standards including pulling samples and monitoring the manufacturing process
+ Maintains accurate daily production records so that manufacturing performance can be analyzed
+ Cleaning: cleaning of tanks, valves, hoses, machines, vessels, floors, walls, ceilings and all other areas or equipment as assigned by the shift lead or supervisor(s) is a daily expectation of all chemical mixing operators.
**What makes you a good fit**
+ 1 year Chemical manufacturing experience preferred
+ Attention to detail and troubleshoot equipment
+ Monitoring batch quality
+ Mixing equipment controls, bar code scanning or production reporting
+ Able to lift to 60 pounds repetitively and up to 70 pounds on an occasional basis

The salary for this role is $25.00 - $27.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.

+ Sets up or adjusts equipment according to manufacturing specifications
+ Monitors the quality of output to identify or discard re-manufacture faulty products

+ Experienced meeting 5S requirements.
