Overview

CeLeen, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking an experienced Mobile Application Developer to develop an employee facing mobile application in support of a potential contract supporting the US Coast Guard Office of Governmental Public Affairs (CG-092).

This position is contingent on contract award. Anticipated salary range: $95,000 - $120,000.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include developing an employee-facing mobile application and collaborating with the project team to meet contract requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Frameworks and Libraries (i.e. React Native, Flutter, Xamarin, etc.).
  • Proficiency with development environments such as Android Studio and Xcode.
  • Understanding of design principles for mobile apps.
  • Ability to implement responsive and intuitive interfaces.
  • Experience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks.
  • Skills in debugging and troubleshooting application issues.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance. (Eligible to pass Federal security clearance process.)
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to access federal facilities in compliance with Real ID. More information about Real ID can be found on DHS and TSA sites.

Job Summary
This position is primarily responsible for the development and operation of a mobile application within the Baseball Operations department. This position will work closely with the Baseball Operations and software engineering staff to define, develop, and implement the app. The application will integrate multiple sources of information and video, both internal and external to the organization, into a single, centralized location. Primary Responsibilities
  • Works with Baseball Operations staff to develop project plans for developing and implementing a mobile application. With limited supervision, follows plan, and monitors and reports progress.
  • Gathers, verifies, and documents user requirements for app. Understands and analyzes the business process and required outcomes of the system and creates documents defining the business use cases.
  • Develops and modifies app. Makes use of industry best practices and recommended coding standards to write clear, readable, and efficient code.
  • Identifies and recommends potential features to be incorporated into the app.
  • Coordinates with video and data providers to integrate systems and information into the app.
  • Employs an iterative software development approach to ensure quick roll-out along with incremental improvements to developed app over time.
  • Develops and oversees system acceptance testing for all newly developed components of the app. Designs and sets up test scenarios. Reviews test results and validates that software capabilities meet business needs.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Experience using Swift, the iOS SDK, and the Android SDK.
  • Experience in object oriented programming, mobile security, and general mobile development best practices.
  • Experience developing mobile applications that interface with SQL Server or similar database architecture and SQL skills.
  • Experience with mobile UI/UX design concepts and best practices.

Job Description

Title: Mobile Application Developer
Location: Washington, DC (On-Site)
Travel: Travel beyond the minimum local commuting area of 50 miles from the primary place of performance will be required
Clearance: Current Public Trust or the ability to obtain one
**This position is contingent on contract award**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop an employee facing mobile application.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting application issues.
  • Unit testing and UI testing frameworks.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, communications, media, software development, or related field., and
  • At least ten (10) years of relevant experience, or
  • At least five (5) years of experience with a Master's degree or higher in business, communications, media, software development, or related field.
  • Experience with programming languages for mobile applications (i.e. Swift, Kotlin/Java)
  • Experience with Frameworks and Libraries (i.e. React Native, Flutter, Xamarin, etc.)
  • Proficiency with development environments such as Android Studio and Xcode
  • Understanding of design principles for mobile apps.
  • Ability to implement responsive and intuitive interfaces
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
