Description
As a Principal Technical Business Development Manager, you will be the single threaded Business Development leader responsible for securing and developing strategic partnerships with major media and technology companies to support Amazon Devices (i.e., Fire TV, Amazon Echo, and Fire tablets). You will work closely with cross-functional leadership and product development teams to create partnerships that will revolutionize the way people watch and find content on devices inside and outside their homes.
You will be required to handle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously and effectively negotiate terms that benefit our customers. The successful candidate will have experience working with senior level external partners, strong negotiation acumen, excellent verbal and written communications skills, experience working with a broad array of stakeholders (e.g. product, marketing, legal), and a track record of delivering high quality results.
Key job responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage strategic partnerships that delight customers and support strategic objectives on a global basis.
- Work closely with internal engineering, product and marketing teams to identify, evaluate and drive feature adoption among top partners.
- Evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of partnerships and work with appropriate leaders across all functional areas of Amazon to execute on the relationships.
- Drive partner success by working closely with cross-matrix teams including: Legal, PR, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Advertising.
- Prepare business reviews for internal and external senior management teams.
About the team
The Content & App Partner Engagement (CAPE) team manages the global portfolio of third party (3P) app and game developers (e.g. Netflix, Disney, Paramount and Roblox) worldwide that distribute content on Amazon branded and 3P branded devices with screens (Fire TV, Fire Tablets, and Echo Show) and acts as the 'voice of the partner' for internal Amazon teams.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 7+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
