Job Description
As a Mid-Level Mobile/Wireless Network Specialist, this individual will ensure seamless connectivity and mobile device support for our government clients. Their expertise will be crucial in maintaining secure and reliable wireless access for federal personnel using desktop services.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Support, configure, and troubleshoot mobile devices and wireless network infrastructure for government users.
+ Diagnose and resolve wireless connectivity issues, ensuring seamless access to desktop services.
+ Assist with the deployment and management of mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
+ Monitor wireless network performance and security, ensuring compliance with government standards.
+ Provide technical guidance to end-users on mobile and wireless best practices.
+ Provide and lead support for Wireless Access Points, Antennas, and infrastructure with expertise and knowledge with OSI model, MAC Layer, network characteristics, design of network topologies and site configurations, and installation, transition, and cutover of network components.
+ Lead and support projects to design, install, and configure mobile wireless systems and capability
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field
+ 4+ years of experience supporting mobile devices (iOS, Android) and wireless networks (Wi-Fi, cellular) in an enterprise or government environment.
+ Knowledge of network security protocols and VPN solutions.
+ Certifications such as CCNA Wireless, CWNA, or equivalent.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills for complex mobile and wireless issues.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
+ ITIL Foundation or advanced ITIL certifications.
**Clearance Requirements:**
+ Must have an active Secret Clearance prior to starting this position.
+ Must be able to obtain a DHS Suitability

About the Mobile Network Engineering on iOS position
You will build the first prototype of our mobile passive metering tool. Your time will be split:
- 10% sharing your ideas and expertise within your team to help plan and prepare your product initiatives
- 70% building out a passive metering tool that utilizes an on-device mobile VPN
- 10% writing tests, doing code reviews, and continuously improving our overall code quality
- 10% researching and improving your general software development skills
- work with our mobile, data, and front-end engineers to build a design and specification for our mobile metering application
- build the first version of our mobile passive metering tool allowing us to passively collect network traffic data from our opt-in research panelists
- iteratively improve application security and performance to ensure a high quality end-user experience
- deploy the mobile metering application to the TestFlight and the Apple Store so our panelists can begin using it
We expect expert-level understanding of:
- Swift or Objective-C, the iOS SDK, and publishing apps in the iOS App Store
- Networking at all layers of the protocol stack, and the iOS internals which power them,
- Specifically, the iOS Network Extension Framework and Packet Tunnels
- TCP/UDP, HTTPS networking, SSL/TLS, VPNs, and forward proxies
