Position SummaryThe Mobile Phlebotomist Supervisor is responsible for direct oversight and managing the daily workflow of the mobile phlebotomy team members. With focus on efficiently and accurately collecting blood and all specimen samples for Laboratory analysis, depending on specific facility demand and requirements. The Mobile Phlebotomy Supervisor will ensure that all duties and expectations are met set forth by the company, as well as the client expectations that it services.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. •Oversee all daily workflow of the mobile phlebotomy team to ensure all duties are complete and accurate.•Coach and train all mobile phlebotomists on policies and procedures, per company standard operating procedures (SOPs).•Collaborates with the President, Lab Manager, and Quality Assurance Manager to ensure the team/department is exceeding company expectations and makes recommendations of any noticeable trends.•Communicates with Human Resources for proper direction on employee disciplinary, performance measures, and other employee related matters.•Collect all samples including blood, and swabs with accuracy and efficiency per facility needs.•Make sure all samples are labeled correctly and reflect what is on the requisition, to include all pick up samples.•Adhere to all Safety and Health standards while working in the facility and or traveling; to include all residents homes and facilities; meeting all PHI and all PPE requirements.•Complete all required documentation within your scheduled workday, to include Phlebio orders and mileage.•Prepare all samples correctly for transport and deliver to laboratory or courier.•Collaborates with others as need, including other internal departments.•Other duties as directed by supervisor.•Assign and confirm the schedule daily•Strategically reassign orders to cover callouts and approved PTO•Be in the field as neededSupervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly oversee and supervise all Mobile Phlebotomists.Education and Experience•High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.•3-5 year of supervisory experience is required.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations•Phlebotomy Certificate, required.Skills and Abilities•Demonstrated excellent leadership competencies•Proficient in Microsoft Suite (i.e., Outlook, Teams, Word),•Excellent organizational skills and time management,•Proficient in Phlebio and other LIS systems,•Strong problem-solving skills and conflict resolution,•Strong Communication Skills, both verbal and written.

-Maintain accurate laboratory records and make available for inspections /audits by Lab Supervisor, Lab Director, Lab Consultant and CLIA Surveyors.

**Education**
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and Certificate of completion from an accredited phlebotomy
training program.
Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in related field.
**Experience**
Required: 3 years of directly related experience as phlebotomist in a patient service center, clinic, or hospital
setting with 1 year of waived testing and specimen processing experience in clinical setting.
Preferred: 5+ years of direct experience working in a Patient Service Center, clinic, or hospital setting.
**License(s)**
Required: Must obtain BLS through American Heart Association within 30 days of employment.
Preferred: Certified Phlebotomist or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant Member of an accredited
phlebotomy National organization.
**Special Skills**
Required: Those hired into this position must complete the KSC review/skill validation program within 90 days of hire.
-Able to use related equipment.
-Experience with computers and Windows-based software.
-Ability to practice good customer service principles and practices.
Preferred: Ability to use Microsoft software applications including Word and Excel.
Knowledge of electronic medical record systems.
Prior EPIC experience

**Schedule**
Full Time, Day Shift (72 hours biweekly)
Hours: 4:00am - 12:30pm for Nursing homes draws, varied days
Rotation: Weekend / Holiday Rotation
**General Summary**
Performs a variety of duties in specimen procurement, specimen processing, and other areas. Functions in on- and/or off-site service areas. May work any part of a 24-hour period. May be required to accept on-call responsibilities. May perform occasional in-charge duties in the absence of immediate supervisor.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Performs a variety of duties at progressively greater skill levels under varying degrees of supervision, records results. May operate point of care laboratory instruments.
+ Performs quality control and instrument check procedures and maintains related records.
+ Transcribes orders and receives specimens into the laboratory, may process specimens, deliver specimens to testing locations, store specimens for future analysis and dispose of specimens.
+ May receive and transport supplies, equipment, reports and specimens between the laboratory and other health care locations.
+ Collects specimens as directed using appropriate or specified equipment for collecting and handling specimens.
+ Enters or retrieves data from established computer files.
+ Provides complete and accurate instructions to patients and other customers of the laboratory.
+ May review physician orders for supporting documentation.
+ Resolves billing problems and/or receives insurance updates.
**Common Expectations:**
+ Answers telephones, routes callers, takes messages and provides routine information to callers.
+ Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment. Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s).
+ Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor, and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.
+ Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
+ Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings.
+ Maintains required records, reports, and statistics as directed.
+ Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
+ Assists in care and maintenance of laboratory work area and furnishings/equipment.
