Position Summary:

As a Modeling Lead, you will play a key role in strategic data modeling and predictive analytics to support our mission-driven initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally, leveraging your modeling experience to support our organizational goals. Your team's models will provide key decision-makers, both internally within BlueForge and externally across the industrial base, the ability to apply data to support investment decision making for improving the health of the defense industrial base. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develops and manages the overall strategic approach and implementation of applying data modeling to enable data-informed decision making, risk characterization, and system behavior prediction.
* Builds and leads a team of diverse modeling expertise skillsets and organizational partners to meet the needs of a wide array of public and private stakeholders.
* Develop modeling capabilities to enable data-driven:
* Investment performance metrics reporting
* Characterizations of return on investment
* Prioritization of investments
* Investment decision-support
* Customer system (e.g., supply chains, workforce capabilities, technology adoption) status and insights
* Predictive assessments of customer systems
* Identification of opportunities and risks to customer systems
* Characterizations of broad investment portfolio impacts
* Comparisons, validation, and verification of diverse data sources and their applicability to customer systems


* Identify opportunities for and risks to the success of BFA objectives supported by system modeling by maintaining awareness of relevant external and internal business and technical capabilities.
* Guide the strategic direction and execution of comprehensive modeling capabilities that support both internal functions and customer needs.
* Partner with stakeholders to understand data and modeling needs and translate them into technical solutions, focusing on scalability and integrity.
* Implement industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance modeling capabilities.
* Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and excellence across the modeling team.
* Influence decisions related to product development, prioritization, and resource allocation by presenting data, insights, and recommendations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

* Tasking authority for direct support personnel and contractors.

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Proven track record of implementing data-driven decision-making frameworks.
* Proficiency in data modeling techniques (e.g., statistical modeling, machine learning, simulation modeling).
* Strong knowledge of predictive analytics tools and frameworks.
* Experience working in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and relational database management systems.
* Ability to align data modeling initiatives with organizational goals and stakeholder needs.
* Experience in developing frameworks for investment performance metrics, ROI analysis, and decision-support systems.
* Capability to identify risks, opportunities, and trends through data-driven insights.

Education, Certifications, and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Mathematics, Economics).

The role is a key member of the Data Analytics team and will report to the VP of Modeling, working to design and guide the implementation of modeling architecture to shape our digital transformation strategy and deliver high impact projects. As a Modeling Lead, you will partner with the business stakeholders to translate business challenges into technical requirements, propose and deliver solutions through scalable technology innovation and process improvement.
Responsibilities
+ Build partnership with business stakeholders to gain in-depth knowledge of business plan and key business processes; collaborate with stakeholders to identify business challenges and inefficient processes
+ Lead end-to-end technology implementation - requirement gathering, solution design, UAT and change management
+ Champion creativity, continuous delivery, and build a culture of innovation
+ Assume ownership of existing technologies and evaluate emerging technologies and solutions for applicability to business needs; present business cases for evaluation and lead prototyping or POCs to validate expected value
+ Work closely with the user community to understand their needs and reflect that in strategic solution design

Qualifications

Performs any functions within scope of authority and expertise to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and co-workers. Responsibilities
  • Work with multiple data sources to produce bi-weekly Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) report
  • Collect and validate all data sourced from Bank systems prior to loading the data into the ALCO model
  • Understand the primary lines of business of the bank
  • Produce ad-hoc analysis on a regular basis
  • Learn the main features of various modeling tools that are used to produce ALCO analysis and reports
  • Develop a deep understanding of the back-end modeling methods that are used in reporting and analysis
  • Review policy and governance documents
  • Maintain procedures manuals for all production processes in the department
  • Manage the ALCO governance approvals and report calendar
  • Demonstrate a genuine curiosity of the community banking balance sheet management, including interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and capital management
Requirements Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or similar field is required
Work Experience
  • 3-5 years of related experience is preferred
Additional Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with executive management on a regular basis
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Basic Application (VBA) is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Power BI a plus.
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly understand and solve complex problems
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
  • Experience with ALM models (QRM, BancWare, Darling, ZMFS, Empyrean, etc.) a plus
  • Understanding of option pricing methods, term-structure models, and Monte Carlo Simulation methodology preferred

Job Description:

The Demand Modeling Manager position encompasses support for both the Demand Planning processes and systems with an emphasis in SAP IBP. The position will be responsible for all training pertaining to both the software applications as well as the business processes of Demand Planning while working in conjunction with the Reporting and Supply Planning Support Team.

Specific responsibilities include: Conduct all initial and on-going training and training material development supporting demand, supply and business partners within the organization that support the demand and S&OP functions. Design, develop and implement new reports and metrics to support planning visibility to the S&OP process targeting inventory reporting, variance to Finished Goods and Raw material plans, investigation and feedback on inaccuracy repeat offenders and large demand changes, validating forecasts on key categories for tuning errors or anomalies and Demand SharePoint site management. Work directly with Information Systems to resolve system and data issues that are impacting the business operations in a timely and effective matter. Develop and maintain system algorithms that support the needs of the business.

REQUIREMENTS :

Education: Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 5 plus years of experience in Supply Chain and planning processes tools. A background in SAP IBP is strongly preferred.

Computer Skills: Microsoft suite of applications with and emphasis in Excel and Excel add-ins is strongly preferred.

Communication Skills: Advanced written and verbal communication skills; Ability to motivate and inspire cooperation as well as instruct and teach; Ability to network with client's sales and marketing associates; Ability to communicate to a variety of levels users business owners IS Support analysts etc. on system capabilities process changes enhancement requests system configurations etc.

Special Skills: Extensive problem solving skills to understand user needs and translate them into system requirements for the IS support team as well as the ability to develop and implement process improvements; Excellent understanding of how the Demand Planning process works how Supply Planning is performed and how the two processes work together; Technical skills and aptitude to investigate, develop, propose and implement system configurations, data modeling; detailed analytical skills to review system output and develop and maintain applicable performance metrics.

Travel: 3-4 domestic trips per year

Location: This position will be based out of client's Corporate Headquarters in Springdale, Arkansas. Relocation assistance may be provided for those candidates that meet the client Relocation policy guidelines.
