Job Purpose:
Perform PM/Overhaul activities. Follow and update PM/Overhaul schedules for molds. Perform repairs and improvements to molds. Modify molds for Engineering changes and improvements. Diagnose and troubleshoot mold related problems. Keep constant communication with supervisor and team members.
Job Details:
- This is a first shift position, and the hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- Starting pay for this position is $14.40/hour

Qualified candidates will be asked to submit to drug testing and pass a PFT test.

Summary
The Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for working safely while working within the Mold Maintenance Department. Technicians are responsible for maintaining, repairing, and changing molds used for casting aluminum wheels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follows safety rules 100% of the time.

Your primary responsibility will be to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot molds used in the production of boat components. This includes performing regular inspections, cleaning, and preventive maintenance to ensure molds are in optimal condition and ready for use. - Performs “in-run” mold maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating of molds and components.
- Monitors in-coming molds from Mold Room. Logs in, drains water and applies mold protectant.
- Properly communicates with co-workers and other department leaders on mold related issues and mold status.
- Keeps accurate, legible documentation and follows prescribed methods and procedures to complete all work.
- Maintains Mold Maintenance supplies and shop cleanliness.
- Maintains a safe and clean work area to successfully complete all work.
- Demonstrates a commitment to personal development by taking advantage of additional training opportunities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to comprehend work instructions.
- Understanding of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance.
- Ability to work within a team environment and demonstrate professional behavior.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work tasks thoroughly.
- Basic proficiency with computers, and the ability to perform data entry, view electronic procedures, and complete training courses.
- Excellent problem-solving skills. Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
- Ability to use either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.
- Ability to conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Knowledge of and ability to use arithmetic. Must be able to accurately perform intermediate mathematical and statistical calculations and use a weight counting scale.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with members across the organization.
- Verbal and written communication skills in Spanish preferred.

**Night Shift!**
**Essential Skills**
+ Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with company equipment (e.g. production equipment, warehouse bay doors, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems); repairs equipment according to established company standards.
+ Performs preventative maintenance (e.g. lubrication of machines, conveyor belt replacement) on company equipment according to established guidelines.
+ Performs changeovers on production line equipment to ensure that equipment is set up correctly according to established standards to minimize downtime during production runs.
+ Completes preventative maintenance records, work order forms, time-off requests and other required paperwork according to established standards.

The pay range for this position is $2.00 - 36.00/hr.
