The **Security Alarm Monitoring Specialists** support 24/7 operations at a high-security facility. The position involves active surveillance, access control monitoring, and communications management in support of Norfolk Naval Shipyard/Naval Sea Systems Alarm Monitoring Point (AMP) security mission. Candidates must demonstrate technical proficiency, attention to detail, and emotional composure under pressure.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and monitor computerized Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), and Automated Access Control Systems (AACS).
+ Assess and interpret alarms; coordinate appropriate emergency or security response via Radio Dispatch Center (RDC).
+ Utilize access lists to verify clearance status and authorize entry into restricted areas.
+ Maintain and document logs of all alarm activities, hourly surveillance checks, and communications.
+ Respond professionally to non-emergency and emergency calls and direct them to the RDC as required.

The selected candidate will:
1. Be responsible for all Sigma Air Utility compressed air systems through:
1. Remote Monitoring
1. Remote dial-in to the compressor station and evaluate the demand to supply profile.
2. Independently act on system alarms and e-mail notifications.
3. Pro-actively coordinate with servicing partners and/or site personnel to address critical alarms, including dispatching technicians after hours.
4. Monitor service intervals, coordinate scheduling of on-site service and maintenance activity.
5. Schedule and coordinate site visits for regular systems inspections.
6. When required perform site audits to identify potential areas of improvement.

Required Qualifications

An company is looking for a 3rd shift (Wed - Sun 6:00pm - 5:00am) Controls Monitoring Specialist in the Forest Park, IL area near Chicago for an immediate start date. The Controls Monitoring Specialist will be stationed as a desk with an HMI and will correspond with the conveyor maintenance crews to identify and resolve jams, oddities, and use the existing system's PLC software as a troubleshooting tool. They will have remote support from another engineer at the Denver headquarters to assist with troubleshooting. The purpose of the monitoring review is to assess administrator's compliance with contractual requirements for their financial award(s) in the form of grant contracts to cities, counties, HRA's/CDA's and Tribal Nations. This position is responsible for the support and coordination of grants and contract work across the department to ensure accuracy and consistency in process, documentation, and procedures.   • Three (3) years of experience in program monitoring, quality control reviews, compliance audit experience, contract management with vendors, or program management.
  • A Bachelors degree in public administration or community development may substitute for 12 months of experience or a Masters degree in the listed fields may substitute for 18 months of experience
  • Technical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel used to communicate and schedule meetings with administrators and document the results of the monitoring activities for internal and external use.
  • Demonstrated excellent consultative and communication skills with internal and external partners sufficient to relay the reasoning for findings, identify options for remediation, and discuss process improvements.
  • Understanding of grants management principles and OGM policies
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
  • Cultural competency skills as demonstrated by communication and interaction across cultures and awareness of ones own world view and acknowledgment that different world views exist.
  • Valid drivers license and the ability to travel up to 25% of the time (10% in the metro and 15% that includes overnight travel in greater Minnesota)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of experience in program monitoring, quality control reviews, compliance audit experience, contract management with vendors, or program management with a Minnesota Housing partner administering Housing Stability grant program(s) or in a financial services organization that performs similar functions.
  • Strong understanding of grants management principles and OGM policies and experience applying them.
  • Project management experience or certification.

An company is looking for a 3rd shift (Wed - Sun 6:00pm - 5:00am) Controls Monitoring Specialist in the Forest Park, IL area near Chicago for an immediate start date. The Controls Monitoring Specialist will be stationed as a desk with an HMI and will correspond with the conveyor maintenance crews to identify and resolve jams, oddities, and use the existing system's PLC software as a troubleshooting tool. They will have remote support from another engineer at the Denver headquarters to assist with troubleshooting. Candidates must have experience of troubleshooting these Systems, and be able to report any issues to the engineering group while monitoring the project. All work will be done at a desk on a company provided computer.
This is a 6 Month contract in support of an ongoing 2+ year project with extensions extremely likely. The schedule is 6:00pm Wednesday night - 5:00am Monday Morning. 55-60 hours per week. Mondays and Tuesdays are off.
