ABOUT US: Miami Valley Child Development Centers is southwest Ohio's Head Start Agency. For over 55 years, we've been providing FREE early learning and childcare to children from 6 weeks to age 5. We have Family Support Specialist, Home Visitors, and Coaches ready to partner with you on this journey, In most cases, families must earn 100% of the Federal Poverty Level or less. Children experiencing homelessness or who are in foster or kinship care are also eligible. In some cases, children with disabilities may qualify. We have full-day and part-day options at our more than 27 convenient locations in Montgomery, Clark, and Madison counties.
CLASSIFICATION: Work an average of 10 hours weekly. Non-Exempt
BASIC FUNCTIONS: Work in the classroom with children Ensure compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards and MVCDC Service Plans, Policies and Procedures. Assist with maintaining a safe, healthy environment that is developmentally appropriate for classroom children. Ensures compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Licensing, USDA, Health and Sanitation, and MVCDC Regulations, Policies and Procedures.
MINIMUM CREDENTIALS: High School diploma/GED. (Education assistance for CDA or AA degree in Early Childhood Education available when transferring to a Full-time position).
SUPERVISOR: Child & Family Services Supervisor
LOCATION: Centers across Montgomery County
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for supporting the safety and active supervision of children during all parts of the daily routine
- Assist with all part of the daily routine such as but not limited to arrival/departure, mealtime, handwashing, toileting (this could include planning/recall, work time, small and large group and outdoor play
- Assist with collection of ongoing assessment data for all children assigned/enrolled in the classroom
- Ensure adult/child ratio is always maintained, ensuring all children are within sight and sound at all times -Follows the lead of the teaching team to ensure quality services for children and families
- Performs other duties as assigned to assist in providing quality services to children and families
The Substitute position is a temporary part-time position. Hours and schedule vary by center location and are not guaranteed on a weekly basis. Subs are on an on-call basis. No benefits are offered with this role.

The Construction Administrator will act as the primary liaison between the architectural team, client, and contractor during the construction phase. This role ensures that projects are built in accordance with the design intent, contract documents, and quality standards established by the firm. The Construction Administrator will oversee submittals, respond to contractor inquiries, conduct site observations, and help manage change throughout the life of the project.
- Serve as the architects representative during construction
- Review shop drawings, product data, and material submittals for compliance with contract documents
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and provide clarifications to contractors
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to design intent
- Prepare and issue field reports documenting site conditions and observations
- Review contractor payment applications and make recommendations for approval
- Manage project documentation, including correspondence, meeting minutes, and change orders
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and internal design teams to resolve issues
- Develop and manage punch lists, ensuring timely completion of outstanding items
- Assist with project closeout, including review of warranties, O&M manuals, and final deliverables
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required
- 3 7+ years of experience overseeing design and construction initiatives
- Familiarity with AIA contract documents and construction processes
- Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction methods
- Proficiency with project management and construction administration software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Newforma, Revit)
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

The Starting Point program offers support to individuals in the unique model of Psych Rehab, serving those with a mental health diagnosis, to reach their own, personally identified goals. Our behavior health support team meets with individuals in their own spaces to help them begin their recovery journey.
As a behavior health support staff, you will empower adults with mental illness to pursue their goals using the Psych Rehab model. You will meet weekly with those served to help identify a person's strengths, needs, and barriers in accomplishing the identified goal. Goals can include anything from finding and maintaining employment, getting involved in community activities, establishing healthy habits, finding housing, and so much more. Once established, the behavior health support team will support individuals to gain skills and resources to reach their goals.

- Collaborate with the individual being served and the Starting Point team to develop, implement, update and review treatment plans that are recovery-oriented, strengths-based, and person-centered.
- Collaborate with individual being served to develop successful strategies for identifying, achieving, and maintaining goals in four key areas: living, learning, working, and socializing.
- Maintain accurate and current case documentation in an electronic health record.
- Support individuals to find and use resources and supports in their community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) preferably in a related field such as psychology, social work, human services (required)
- Some prior work or internship experience related to mental health services (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with 2+ years of driving experience, reliable vehicle, and car insurance (required)
- Willingness to drive throughout the county during the workday to meet with clients (required - mileage reimbursement provided)
- Willingness to transport clients in your vehicle as needed (required)
