Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a **Manufacturing Engineer (Level 2)/Principal Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3).** The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Engineering Team working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment. This position will be located at our site in **Iuka, Mississippi** where technology and teamwork come together.
***Position is on-site in Iuka, MS and cannot be performed remotely.***
Manufacturing Engineers for Aeronautics Systems are expected to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex and difficult problems. They are problem solvers who have the ability to provide results that are innovative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives. We seek Manufacturing Engineers that use a unique skill set that includes a hands-on approach and act as the technical representative voice for the Manufacturing organization.
**Please note: A start date, for candidates selected, will be determined after obtaining both a DOD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access and is contingent upon Business/Customer funding.**
**Responsibilities**
The selected candidate will design and develop manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Other duties may include:
+ Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
+ Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
+ Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
+ Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
+ Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

**Basic Qualifications Manufacturing Engineer:**
+ Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of technical and/or engineering experience ; OR Master's Degree with 0 years of experience.

+ Ability to work any shift as needed by the business.

+ Experience with root cause & corrective action processes and techniques
+ Functional knowledge of Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
+ Experience authoring, modifying, and auditing work procedures
+ Able to utilize Catia V5 and/or NX
+ Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
+ Experience providing innovative techniques focused on improving product designs and tooling assemblies or equipment
+ Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $66,600.00 - $9,800.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: 82,100.00 - 123,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
