Continuum of Colorados Home & Community Support department has a fantastic opportunity for a Movement Therapist to perform licensed therapeutic in-home one-on-one movement therapy services for children and adults that we serve. This therapy includes the use of music or dance as a therapeutic tool for the habilitation, rehabilitation and maintenance of behavioral, developmental, physical, social, communication, pain management, cognition and gross motor skills.
Due to the nature of the role and our commitment to the community and the individuals and families we serve, well require some flexibility due to appointments and responsibilities that occur outside typical work week hours. You must be willing to drive to appointments within the Denver Metro, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs Metro area and we'll reimburse you for travel time.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Dance Movement Therapy (R-DMT or BC-DMT)
- Two (2) years experience or related education or training in working with persons who have developmental disabilities, preferred
- Working knowledge of the developmental disabilities system, rules and regulations, preferred
- Knowledge of motor development, motor disorders and appropriate therapeutic interventions
- Ability to maintain necessary training, certifications and licensure
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; effectively communicates with individuals served, families, staff and others
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position
- Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work
- Valid Colorado driver license/Proof of auto vehicle insurance

The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Davis is recruiting a Movement Disorders Neurologist to join our growing academic practice.
Appointments are available in the Clinical Neurology or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant rank. Faculty in the Clinical X series is expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service. Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service.
The successful candidate will join an established multi-specialty Neurology team and provide inpatient and outpatient clinical care; teach medical students, residents, and fellows; and provide university/public service. The UC Davis Department of Neurology and UC Davis Health teaching hospital are nationally ranked in US News & World Report.
The UC Davis Movement Disorders program is home to the multi-disciplinary Huntington's Disease Society of America Center of Excellence, Parkinson's Foundation Center of Excellence, Wilson's Disease Center of Excellence, a well-established Deep Brain Stimulation Program, and a movement disorders fellowship. The Deep Brain Stimulation program is co-directed by neurology and neurosurgery faculty, includes a multidisciplinary weekly case conference, and offers state-of-the-art neuromodulation utilizing 3 DBS platforms including intra-operative robotic-assist procedures and remote programming platform for patients who live outside the Sacramento area. The Neurology clinic partners with a multidisciplinary Movement Disorders team including neuropsychologists, a nurse practitioner, a genetic counselor, and a social worker, with additional support of program medical assistants, nurses, clinical neuropharmacologists, dieticians, and specialized physical, occupational, and speech therapists.
The UC Davis Movement Disorders program faculty are strongly committed to teaching and have major roles as departmental educators. Ample opportunities exist for teaching medical students, neurology residents and fellows, and regularly provides patient and caregiver education locally and regionally.
The UC Davis Movement Disorders program is actively involved in industry- and NIH- sponsored clinical trials research as well as translational research with basic neuroscience faculty. There are also opportunities for investigator-initiated basic science and clinical research studies. UC Davis has a centralized IRB, departmental grant support, clinical research coordinators, and research facilities. The NIH funded UC Davis CTSC offers opportunities for additional training, including the K30 Training Program for a Masters in Clinical Research.
The resulting hire will be at the assistant professor rank, regardless of the proposed appointee's qualifications. The position will be 50-80% clinical, depending on the availability of research funding. Applicants should have experience clinically diagnosing and managing a variety of movement disorders patients including Huntington's Disease, as well as expertise with Deep Brain Stimulation programming using all 3 systems, and botulinum toxin injections for the treatment of movement disorders.

Join a group of well-trained, collegial board certified neurologists and skilled APP's in caring for an interesting, diverse population in our busy clinic. Position Summary
The Department of Neurology of the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Medicine is seeking to fill a full-time academic position for a Board Certified/Eligible neurologist with a specific interest and experience in Movement Disorders and neuromodulation techniques such as deep brain stimulation and focused ultrasound ablation. This is a fixed-term appointment at the Assistant to Full Professor level for a fellowship trained movement disorder neurologist.
The candidate would join 6 other movement disorder specialists in the Department of Neurology, with the goal of joining the team of 2 subspecialists offering ambulatory and intraoperative support for planning and programming surgical options for movement disorders. UNC is a designated Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence employing a comprehensive approach to patients with movement disorders, including a team of nurse practitioner, social worker, nurse and research coordinator who are part of the program. This position involves predominantly outpatient clinical duties focused on patient centered care and operative planning/monitoring as well as teaching residents, fellows, and medical students. Attending on the inpatient neurology service 2- 8 weeks per year is a common requirement for clinical faculty positions.
The ideal candidate will provide expertise in the care of patients with movement disorders, having undergone fellowship training which includes 1) surgical planning of available targets for symptomatic management of movement disorders; 2) intraoperative micro-electrode recording experience; 3) programming of deep brain stimulation devices.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Qualified candidates must possess MD or MD/PhD or equivalent. Completed ACGME certified
Neurology residency Board Certified/Eligible Neurologist with fellowship training in movement
disorders; and candidates must be board-eligible or board-certified/eligible in Neurology and be able to obtain/hold a North Carolina medical license.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Prior experience planning for focused ultrasound ablation is preferred but not required.
