Our client is dedicated to improving mental well-being and is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Community Support Manager to lead their remote support initiatives. This fully remote role is critical in building and managing a supportive online community, ensuring members receive empathetic guidance, resources, and connection. You will be responsible for fostering a safe and inclusive environment, developing support strategies, and overseeing a team of community moderators and support specialists. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, psychology, or a related field, combined with proven experience in online community management and a deep understanding of mental health support principles.

- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for online community engagement and support.
- Oversee the daily operations of the online support community, ensuring a positive and safe user experience.
- Recruit, train, manage, and mentor a team of remote community moderators and support staff.
- Establish and enforce community guidelines, moderation policies, and response protocols.
- Respond to escalated user inquiries and provide crisis intervention support when necessary.
- Develop and curate resources, content, and programs to support community members' mental well-being.
- Monitor community health metrics and identify trends or potential issues.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and external partners to ensure appropriate support pathways.
- Facilitate online group discussions and activities to foster connection and reduce isolation.
- Stay informed about best practices in online community management, mental health support, and digital well-being.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in community management, social services, or mental health support roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven experience in building and managing online communities, preferably in a sensitive domain.
- Strong understanding of mental health issues, therapeutic principles, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills.
- Experience with online community platforms and moderation tools.
- Ability to lead and motivate a remote team effectively.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
- Commitment to user privacy and data security.
- Self-directed with strong organizational and time-management skills.
