Qualifications include:

- BS degree in an environmental sciences field is required. MS or PhD desired.

Practice areas/characteristics for a person in this senior level position could include:
- Project management – they need to be able to execute projects
- Regulatory permitting – this could involve WDR/NPDES permitting work. Someone who is close to regulatory permitting in generally may be able to expand their purview to WDR/NPDES permits if they have experience with other types of permits (e.g., master reclamation permits)
