The pay range for this position generally equals 33.88 to 33.88 per hour, depending on the types of services provided and applicable commissions or service charges, but is not an hourly or salary basis. Other tasks, such as training time and paid time off, will be paid hourly at a range between 16.50 to 16.50 per hour.

REPORTS TO: Director of Retail
SUMMARY:
This is part time year round position is responsible for providing professional nail care services to clients, including manicures, pedicures, nail shaping, cuticle grooming, and application of nail polish, gels, or acrylics. Ensure a clean, relaxing, and safe environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer service.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must be at least18 year old.
Must have valid cosmetology license to perform nail services.
Previous experience as a nail technician preferred, but not required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Perform manicures and pedicures, including trimming, filing, buffing, and polishing nails.
- Apply artificial nails, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, equipment, and work area.
- Advise clients on proper nail care and recommend products for at-home use.
- Stay current on new nail techniques, trends, and health regulations.
- Manage client bookings, payments, and customer records as needed.
- Upsell additional services and products when appropriate.
- Follow salon policies and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Keeps bathroom clean and stocked, storerooms organized, dusts and cleans regularly, including windows and floors.
- Foster positive working relationships and communication with all departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a certified nail technician or cosmetology program.
- Valid state license to perform nail services.
- Proven experience as a nail technician or similar role preferred.
EXPECTATIONS:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a gentle, professional touch.
- Strong sales skills and product knowledge.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old
- Must have valid cosmetology license to perform nail services
- Stand; walk; sit; kneel; lift; push; pull; reach with arms and hands; move objects weighing up to forty (40) pounds.
