ASRC Federal is seeking a Computer Operator to join our NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center team. This position provides support, maintenance, and development of systems used to ensure safe and effective flight research operations for the Mission Support Services team, to include the Telemetry and Radar Acquisition data Processing Systems (TRAPS), Mission Control Centers (MCCs), data distribution and recording systems, Mobile Operations Facilities (MOFs), Range Safety Station (RSS), and project Ground Control Stations (GCS).
This role is located at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center on Edwards Air Force Base, near Palmdale/Lancaster, CA. As a part of this team, you will be required to work a 9/80 schedule with typical hours of 6:30am-4:00pm with occasional overtime (weekdays or weekends) to support mission flight operations.
**Responsibilities:**
- Support telemetry and data processing system operations as required, both individually and with senior personnel.
- Configure and calibrate systems mission support in accordance with preflight procedures.
- Monitor for, and recognize, system anomalies and perform preventive/corrective maintenance on IT systems, both individually and with senior personnel.
- Maintain procedures, records, logs, mission/system databases, in adherence to configuration control processes.
- Develop, test, validate, and verify application software to meet project-specific configuration requirements for setup and/or compilation of processing as well as display software customizations.
- Schedule, test, validate, and verify new Mission Builds and Mission Control Center workstation software releases.
- Basic PC configuration, to include connections to video input sources, as well as outputs to monitor and projectors.
- Maintain documentation on all projects and systems supported, to include the complete audit trail for every change made to the application or system software, and provide to customers upon request.
**Requirements:**
- Associates Degree (or technical school training) in electronics, information technology, or related field, with 3 years related work experience.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in time critical situations.
- Demonstrate principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.

**The Opportunity:**
CACI is looking for an experienced **Spacecraft Flight Software Systems Engineer** to work in NASA Johnson Space Center's flight software systems engineering and integration group supporting NASA's next generation crewed spacecraft, Orion, which will carry astronauts to the Moon. Orion will dock in lunar orbit with a lunar lander which will transport astronauts to and from the lunar surface. This exciting software systems engineering position involves insight/oversight of human-rated flight software including evaluations of concepts, analysis of flight software requirements and design, assessments of software architecture and code, and evaluations of verification tests and certification. Special emphasis will be placed on software safety, software process adherence, software verification, and certification for flight readiness.
Typical areas of focus include data network and channelization, fault management, mission event sequencing, aborts, emergency responses, redundancy management, flight software interfaces with external Artemis flight and ground elements, docking, etc.
This work requires collaboration with Spacecraft prime contractors. This position requires a self-motivated, capable person with strong verbal and written communication skills. In addition to outstanding technical expertise, the individual must be very people savvy, have strong customer relationship skills, possess a positive team-player attitude, be flexible and willing to take on new assignments and responsibilities as they arise.
