**Job Description:**
The Sr. Engineer will join the Facility Group to manage, plan, direct, and coordinate facility project activities to ensure projects are accomplished within the approved scope, budget, and schedule. The Sr. Engineer will oversee facility projects of varying sizes and complexity, ranging from greenfield/new construction to major renovations and minor upgrades of existing facilities. This position requires the ability to manage projects from the conceptual engineering phase through construction completion. Interaction with all Grifols' Departments, Vendors, and Contractors is critical for project success. The Sr. Engineer independently performs most assignments and provides direction for the project team to achieve facility project objectives and ensure resources are utilized efficiently. The position requires an understanding of project requirements to ensure projects are in compliance with cGMP design, applicable codes, and environmental laws, rules, and regulations.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Manage facility project design and construction by coordinating, reviewing, and administering the work of Architects, Engineers, Consultants, and Contractors.
+ Create cost management solutions for facility projects. Manage vendors, engineers, and consultants to ensure facility projects are completed on budget and per schedules.
+ Responsible for project management, project planning, budgeting, cost control, value engineering, and project cost analyses.
+ Review and evaluate bid proposals/estimates with procurement.
+ Manage facility projects and project planning efforts, including both new installations and upgrades to existing facilities.
+ Ensure projects are in compliance with local/state/federal codes and regulations, including OSHA, FDA, Fire, Building/Safety, etc.
+ Track and evaluate critical data to recommend continuous process improvement.
+ Maintain communication between department management and all cross-functional teams.
+ Manage multiple local contractors to complete work in donor centers across the company.
+ Authorize and negotiate work proposals/estimates with local contractors.
+ Flexible travel with a potential of up to 25% travel required.
**Abilities, Knowledge & Skills:**
+ Driven individual with self-accountability, capable of accomplishing goals with minimal management oversight
+ Experienced self-starter with the knowledge and capability to lead and drive change
+ Strong computer skills
+ Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
+ Track record of successful program and project management
+ Ability to understand and interpret engineering and construction drawings.
+ Proven ability to develop and document processes, author specifications, author guidance and standard operating procedures

**Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.
+ Minimum 6 years of experience managing construction or facility projects and project management.
+ Knowledge of national building codes, construction methods, and procedures.
Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Pay scale of $95,927.00 - $143,890.00 per year for US candidates depending on training, education and experience. This position is eligible to participate in up to 8% of the company bonus pool. **About the Role:**
The Data Center Electrical Engineer Owner's Representative Project Manager will lead all aspects of the Electrical Scope of Data Center construction projects! This service is not intended to take the place of the responsibilities of the Engineer of Record for the projects and there are no requirements for providing PE stamped or sealed documents while performing the services outlined below. Though the experience and the background of Professional Engineers to perform these services are preferred. The engineering resources will follow the Owner's specifications, standards for quality, and commissioning methodology.
**What You'll Do:**
Collaborate with the core team to understand and develop the data center electrical designs, from starting basis of design (BOD) to issue for constructions (IFC), for new data center project build-outs and major infrastructure upgrades.
Navigate construction and Cx issues from HV substation to MV equipment to LV branch circuits.
Work in collaboration with Quality Cx, GC, EC, PM, DCOPs, & Central Engineering Teams to remediate issues, deliver quality installation, and maintain construction schedule.
Manage all power system issues during concept design, detailed design, procurement, bidding, manufacturing, delivery, and installation on site.
Identify and resolve issues raised by the multi-functional teams and various external collaborators.
Generate scope of work for the equipment portions of major infrastructure upgrades based on project needs. Work with internal teams to update and document the configuration as it evolves.
Interface closely with the Global Commodities team, the manufacturers, and various global and local Engineering teams in order to deliver the electrical solutions needed for each project.
Update and maintain the internal design specifications, drawings and standards in accordance with the latest configurations and including all 'lessons learned' in relation to all equipment.
Work with EOR for medium voltage duct bank designs.
Develop training and documentation for new and existing construction quality tools and processes.
Work with the Central Region for roll-out of new medium voltage standards and specifications.
Inspect medium voltage terminations and work with the site team on all medium voltage needs.
Review pull calculations, walk through cables pulling process and oversee medium voltage cable pulls.
Manage project budgets, scheduling, planning, and contractor resource assignment.
Track contractor performance including billing against budget and contract, manage proposals, SOW's, bids, scope definition, engineering design cycles, and design review and approvals.
**What You'll Need:**
+ 5 or more years of related experience.
+ Solid construction background.
+ Strong communication skills. Preferred qualifications:
+ Preferred 10 yrs meaningful experience electrical experience
+ Knowledge of data center and mission critical design concepts, NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements.
