Overview of Department As a member of Intersect’s 20-person Development team, you will report to the Vice President, East Development and play a key role in advancing Intersect Power’s strategy to support the reliability and flexibility of our clean energy projects by integrating gas infrastructure to enable firm, dispatchable power across our clean energy portfolio. You will lead the development of gas infrastructure, including interconnection, supply agreements, and commercial structuring to support behind-the-meter load and firming resources.You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including Development, Land Acquisition, Permitting, Project Finance, Engineering Origination & Trading, and Strategy & Business Development to drive innovative and commercially sound gas solutions that complement our solar, wind, battery storage, and emerging clean energy projects. Responsibilities and Duties Lead site identification, development, permitting, interconnection, and commercial structuring of gas-related infrastructure and gas generation projects, including for backup or temporary power. Evaluate and develop firming solutions using natural gas, RNG, or hydrogen for renewable projects. Negotiate gas supply agreements, pipeline interconnects, and infrastructure contracts. Secure air permits. Identify and secure necessary real estate rights (including pipeline routing). Monitor market trends, regulatory shifts, and policy developments in natural gas and clean fuels. Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate commercial and technical viability. Build relationships with local utilities, regulators, and industry partners. Support greenfield development opportunities of all clean power projects which include gas projects or infrastructure. Build and manage models, budgets, and schedules for all projects Qualifications and Skills 5+ years of experience in gas power plant and infrastructure development, midstream, LNG, or clean fuels. Strong understanding of U.S. natural gas markets, pipeline permitting, and interconnection processes. Familiarity with renewable energy projects, especially hybrid or co-located assets. Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills. What You Will Do

Summary:

This position maintains gas meters, regulators and relief valves, RTU & SCADA equipment and related communication equipment, valves and valve operators, gas filters, and auxiliary equipment such as electrical generators in a manner to meet operational needs in compliance with partnership and regulatory requirements.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:

  • Maintain and operate facilities in compliance with applicable specifications, codes, safety standards and operating procedures.
  • Perform periodic accuracy tests including the calibration, inspection and maintenance of all equipment related to quality and quantity determination
  • Install instrumentation and equipment in new and renovated measurement and/or regulation facilities.
  • Inspect and maintain all pressure and volumetric control equipment.
  • Collect gas samples in compliance with partnership safety and industry guidelines.
  • Participate in partnership safety program and initiatives.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • Level C requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.
  • Level B requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.
  • Level A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, RRC, OSHA, NEC, AGA, API and GPA requirements and procedures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with customer base.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
  • Some college or technical trade school is preferred.

JOB SCOPE:

  • Perform in the Natural Gas Utility industry using related experience and knowledge standards and codes.
  • NGA/EWN Operator Qualifications is a requirement for all applicants.
  • Reads andinterpret work scope, engineered drawings, and PI&Ds to determine work procedures and build method.
  • Works in a safe manner according to company and site safety standards.
  • Past welding certification history is a plus.
  • Qualified individuals must possess a full range of mechanical knowledge as well as the ability to fabricate and install piping and equipment as specified on drawings and PI&Ds. Must be proficient with common typed of pipe connections such as grooved, threaded, soldered, brazed and welded.
