The **Commercial Natural Gas Scheduler** will act as a liaison between trading and P66 demand centers to optimize assets while maximizing general interest value. + Monitors and reports storage inventory and operational reports regarding daily updates, next day volume updates, and gas balances to management and various reporting agencies.
+ Identifies potential downstream pipeline capacity constraints and collaborates with customers, suppliers, operations, interconnecting pipelines, and marketing to schedule gas to maximize throughput and minimize costs.
+ Monitor and report third party pipeline Electronic Bulletin Boards 'EBBs" for alerts and/or critical notices of maintenance and competitor activity.
+ Verify, validate, and/or actualize all receipts and delivery nominations with third party pipelines and/or marketing customers, as well as resolving invoicing discrepancies during the Accounting close process, in order to ensure timely and accurate data for billing.

**Position Summary**
Responsible to manage and coordinate existing and new NGS customer accounts. Includes managing supply and control needs, customer service, gas system expansions and contract negotiations and revisions. Manage relationships with existing and new customers (LDC's, large industrial customers, gas marketers and gas producers) to ensure products and services are being provided effectively for the customer and profitably for the company.
**Essential Responsibilities**
+ Consistently build and maintain positive working relationships with existing and potential new customers to keep abreast of customers operations and identify potential customer needs and solutions. On going primary point of contact between Xcel Energy its operating groups, and their customers to provide specialized services to this group of customers.
+ Identify, evaluate, develop markets and sell products and services utilizing gas facilities owned or controlled by the company including the accounting portion of project funds applied to appropriate job classification. These products include but are not limited to gas transportation services both PUC and FERC regulated, gathering and processing services as well as new system connections.
+ Negotiate contracts on an as needed basis for all products and services being provided to customers to maximize revenue for the company while complying with regulatory guidelines.
+ On an ongoing basis communicate with other corporate personnel concerning business requirements, opportunities and emerging trends. This requires constant coordination with operating and maintenance groups to ensure high quality and reliable service to customers.
+ On an ongoing basis develop and implement innovative approaches to existing services and creation of new products and services to proactively meet/exceed customer needs.
+ Evaluate the company's competitive position in the marketplace and make recommendations to management concerning strategic issues to ensure the company remains competitively positioned to capture opportunities.
+ Attend regional industry conferences to maintain and develop contacts with current and prospective customers. Visit with customers and key industry people to maintain in-depth industry knowledge of existing and developing industry and regulatory trends.
+ On an ongoing basis, monitor past due receivables and imbalances and take appropriate corrective action to ensure company's risk in the business is managed to an acceptable level.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Undergraduate college degree in business, marketing or engineering or equivalent experience in the gas industry.
+ Five years' experience in the gas industry with emphasis on marketing/sales, gas system operations/gas control, project coordination and asset management.
+ In depth knowledge of PSCo, CLF&P and WGI rules and tariffs.
+ Negotiation skills to avoid by-passes.
+ Day to day knowledge of Gas Management System an EBB.

The Kimley-Horn Chicago Natural Gas team has been growing rapidly over the last 5 years, and is looking for a key staff member to help with the growth of the pipeline and station expertise of the team, to serve natural gas utilities, midstream companies and development clients.
As a member of the team, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks, supervise team members, manage projects, and collaborate with team members. You will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship, camaraderie, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.
