**Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)**
+ Knowledge of APRN procedures specific to the role: chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, needle thoracotomy, percutaneous central line placement, peripheral artery puncture and cannulation, removal of thoracotomy tube, suprapubic bladder aspiration, umbilical artery catheterization, umbilical vein catheterization, and ventricular catheter reservoir aspiration.

**The selected individual will be working with a team of 12 BC Neonatologists and 22 APPs:**
+ This employed-provider practice covers the largest and most comprehensive NICU in the state, as well as three other facilities in southwestern Idaho.
+ The Boise NICU (61 beds) is Level 4 (minus cardiac surgery and ECMO) with a comprehensive team of pediatric subspecialists available. In addition to a rotating schedule of24 hour shifts,10-hour day shifts, two APPs cover in-house night call (with an in-house Neonatologist) comprised of a 16-hour shift (5p to 9a) and a 12-hour swing shift(8p to 8a).
+ Our two Level 2 NICUs are located in Meridian (13 beds) and Nampa (15 beds). APPs cover 24-hour in-house shifts at these facilities.
+ The St. Luke's Magic Valley NICU in Twin Falls (Level 3) has beds for up to 18 infants. APPs cover 15 hour in-house night shift at this location.

M Health Fairview is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join the NNP team at M Health University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital. NICU locations also include: M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital, M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital, M Health Fairview St. John's Hospital and M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital.
The NNP is a member of the health care team who works in collaboration with licensed physicians to provide comprehensive health care services to NICU patients and families. The NNP will engage in independent decision making about health care needs; managing the care of NICU patients hospitalized with complex acute health problems. Diagnose, prescribe medications and interventions, order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, coordinate the interdisciplinary health care team, plan and coordinate patients' discharge, rehabilitation, home health care and follow-up; ensuring continuity of care within the hospital setting. The NNP will also perform procedures within their scope and realm of their collaboration agreement with their physician partner.

+ Neonatal care at Fairview Health Services utilizes 60 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners.

**CHI Health** is seeking to add a **Neonatal Nurse Practitioner** to the experienced group at **CHI St. Elizabeth** in **Lincoln, Nebraska.**
**The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) is responsible for providing direct clinical care in a Neonatal ICU inpatient setting and conducts medical histories, performs complete physical examinations, initiates appropriate lab, radiology tests and other special tests required for evaluation. Performs routine and specialized procedures as credentialed. May prescribe and monitor medications. Participates in medical team rounds and collaborates with physicians, nursing and other medical personnel. Educates patient families and answers questions regarding their disease, treatments, related drug and treatment side effects and hazards. Refers patients to specialists as appropriate. Our Advanced Practice Providers are a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary care team with advanced communication skills.**
