It is intended that operations and maintenance be performed on board vessels and in depot maintenance facilities with the objective of maximizing operational readiness.
In performance of this mission, V2X is seeking an experienced Field Support Team (FST) Network Specialist to work at the Integrated Undersea Surveillance System (IUSS) Operations Support Center (IOSC) on Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek - Fort Story, VA (JEBLCFS) 40-hours per week.
This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:
As a FST Network Specialist of the SURTASS Operation Center (SOC) and the SURTASS team, you will be responsible for the following:
+ Provide operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair support to all C4I systems and networks onboard SURTASS Vessels.
+ Utilize the WILD trouble ticket application to log all maintenance trouble tickets for action in the JSN / WKRQ log. This shall include all applicable labor, external technical assistance, parts and time expended.
+ Submit and/or verify trouble tickets are submitted to external command, as required, and actively working to resolve open trouble tickets.
+ Generate reports for SURTASS mission systems status as directed by the Government
+ Provide technical assistance to mission systems to troubleshoot, repair, test, and return to service.
+ Conduct all tenets of In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) responsibilities in accordance with SPAWARINST 5400 (series) and intermediate and depot level maintenance on mission systems and support handling equipment.
+ Conduct refresher training (REFTRA) in accordance with the established requirements.
+ Review of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Engineering Changes (ECs), and Requests for Variance (RFV), and develop schedules for implementation.

+ Perform Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RM&A) analysis of mission system.
+ Support and perform configuration management services for the SURTASS mission systems.
+ Update and maintain Technical Data Packages (TDP) for mission systems.

Qualifications

**Qualifications**
**To be successful in this role, you will have:**
+ An Active or Current DoD Security Clearance: minimum Secret with the ability to be upgraded to TS/SCI.
+ US citizenship, in possession of a valid driver's license, and a valid passport
+ Passed a pre-employment drug screening.
+ BS in Electrical, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering with 3 years experience, AS in Computer Science or Information systems and 5 years experience, or a High School/GED, Navy C School, or Trade School, with 7 years direct experience in C4I ship systems, electronics, and networks. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
+ LINUX, UNIX, Windows (or equivalent) unclassified and classified network and computer configuration and administration certification(s)
+ Experience with closed cloud computing environments including, but not limited to Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
+ Security+ (or equivalent) certification(s), related to 8140/8570 IT DoD baseline certification requirement.
+ Independent initiative-taker experience in ship systems installations, upgrades, and repair activities. Experienced in supporting Mission Readiness Availabilities/ Mission Readiness Reviews.
+ Previous SURTASS experience includes experience in maintenance, and providing troubleshooting and repair of communications, navigation, and sonar surveillance systems.
**Additional desired experience and skills:**
+ Knowledge of and experience with multiple types of array systems including active and passive
+ Navy operations, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance experience with secure networks, and sonar, navigation, and communications systems.
