Responsibilities Included but are not limited to:

• Responsible for supporting customer networks involving cross-domain solutions, including VPNs, one-way data transfers, unclassified mission related infrastructures, and Taclane 175 encryption devices.  Specific configurations include routing using MPLS/VPLS, OSPF, EIGRP at the Core and Distribution devices and switching at the Access devices.
• Responsible for performing planning, deployment and quality assurance functions for system and network upgrade projects.
• Will develop high, mid and lower-level diagrams and schematics to document the system and network infrastructure for planning, historical and continuity purposes.
• Responsible for designing, installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining a LAN/WAN equipment required to provide telecommunications services in a complex environment consisting of various Cisco network equipment to include Nexus and Catalyst model as well as Integrated Service Routers.
• Responsible for designing networks utilizing switching technology to include VLAN, Inter-VLAN routing, trunking, and port aggregation on the WAN/LAN environment.

 Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience OR associates degree with 15 years OR high school diploma with 20 years of relevant experience
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco catalyst switches
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco ASR routers
• IAT II certification (DoD 8140 required within 60 days of starting employment.  Acceptable certifications include CCNA-Security/CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/ or SSCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with supporting cross-domain customer networks (VPNs, one-way data transfers, unclassified infra, Taclane 175), with expertise in Core/Distribution routing (MPLS/VPLS, OSPF, EIGRP) and Access switching.
• Experience with Linux network troubleshooting

1. Configure and maintain the LAN and wireless network to ensure reliable connectivity and data integrity via the use of Microsoft's best practices.
2. Implement and support network components including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, backup systems, storage area networks, virtual servers, end user workstations, printers, peripheral devices, and other associated hardware and software.
3. Monitor and test network performance, and troubleshoot any performance issues.
4. Research and recommend changes to the system architecture to accommodate technology upgrades, improve performance, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
5. Assess and define short-term and long-term network capacity needs.
6. Maintain, test and update the data backup systems, archiving and the disaster recovery plan.
7. Assist in the development and implementation of network administration policies and procedures.
8. Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory.
9. Monitor, test, and document network hardware configurations, security settings, processes, policy compliance, backup procedures, and other network administrative activities as required by Sarbanes-Oxley.
10. Interact and negotiate with vendors and contractors to procure network products and services.
11. Provide support for land line phones, cell phones, and smartphones.
12. Provide end user support as part of a 24x7 help desk, including training and assisting staff in using hardware and software more efficiently.

1. Intervene and take appropriate actions on any non-conformance, possible non-conformance, or concerns affecting 1) compliance with any known legal, regulatory or company requirement, 2) Safety Health Environment & Security (SHE&S) and Quality policies, procedures, or other management system requirements, and/or 3) expectations or needs of other interested parties and communicate it using the appropriate company process.
2. Fully comply with all SHE&S and Quality policies and procedures, as well as Standard Operating Procedures.
3. Communicate any SHE&S and Quality / customer service concerns, near misses, incidents or opportunities for improvement using the appropriate company process.
4. Whenever requested participate in the development, communication and implementation of SHES, Responsible Care and Quality programs, processes, and procedures.
5. When requested, participate in Associate Safety Committee (ASC), Safety Meetings, Management of Change (MOC), Process Safety Startup Review (PSSR), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and other related SHE&S, process safety, and customer service activities.

1. Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or other technical field or at least 5 years experience as a Network Administrator or related role in the design, implementation, support, and management of complex LAN solutions.
2. Strong communication and documentation skills.
3. Ability to work with all levels of staff to define business and technical requirements as well as to perform system support.
4. Working knowledge of software patch management and update processes.
