Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage network modernization projects, ensuring upgrades are effectively implemented.
- Develop and execute comprehensive configuration plans for Ethernet and Wireless LANs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff members.

- Minimum 10 years of relavent experience in network arena
- Minimum Three (3) years of experience in their area of focus for projects of this scope and complexity.

- A valid Cisco CCNP routing/switching/wireless, and/or Aruba ACSP, or equivalent.

As a Configuration Network Engineer, you will serve as a key contributor in the configuration center by performing troubleshooting and installation work on various computer and networking hardware.
YOUR IMPACT
The essential functions of this position include:
- Provide advanced hardware configuration of routers and switches via command-line interface (CLI)
- Perform IOS and firmware upgrades on switches and routers
- Apply configurations to routers and switches from config templates and making appropriate changes
- Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (ie IP, EIRGP, OSPF, BGG)
- Understanding of WAN, LAN, interfaces, protocols, and topology
- Perform racking and stacking of hardware components in a configuration center environment and in a data center environment
- Perform cabling and labeling services, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Provide deployment and implementation services of multi-vendor solutions
- Understand the different types of network cables and power cables
- Able to review, understand, and edit network topology diagrams
- Provide remote connectivity to internal and external customers through the configuration center via VPN tunnels
- Troubleshoot and perform remediation repairs; escalate to Sr. Engineers, as needed
- Work towards achieving industry-specific certifications: i.e.- CCNP, VCP
- Bachelor's degree in technical field preferred
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT
- Industry certifications i.e.: CCNA, Network+ Required
- Excellent customer service skills both on phone and in-person
- Professional demeanor and good communication skills
- Ability to think and come up with solutions quickly
- Must be fully knowledgeable and able to diagnose, install and repair two or more of the following technologies:
- Remote VPN connectivity
- Networking

POSITION SPECIFICS
The initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $75,000 and $90,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, our compensation package may include other components such as commissions and discretionary bonuses.

This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.
Shaw AFB is conveniently located. A 2-hour drive to the north gets you to Charlotte, NC, to the east is Myrtle Beach, and Charleston, SC is to the south. You'll have access to big city excitement in Columbia, SC, or a quiet beach walk or small-town Southern hospitality.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Manage Configuration Change Items (CCIs) and baselines. Support Configuration/Change Advisory Board (CAB). Manage CM Communications Task Orders (CTOs). Ensure CM OPR Tabs are accurate and up to date.
+ Manage the Project, Workflow, Requirements, and Resource Plus (PWRR+) (AF3215) system for new requirements and the BMC Remedy ticket system for O&M purchases. Use Microsoft Project Server for project tracking. Serve as manager/consultant for specific functional areas.
+ Work with other sections to evaluate systems and network standard processes for technical accuracy and viability.
+ Manage procurement, licensing, and life cycle of software. Use asset management tools (e.g., SCCM, Solar Winds) for software validation.
+ Develop and maintain facility, network, and systems documentation. Create technical documents, checklists, and reports. Provide oral and written briefs to senior leaders.
+ Provide continuity and on-the-job training.
**Qualifications:**
_Required:_
+ Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date.
+ Associates degree in related field and 3 or more years' relevant experience; or 5 or more years' relevant experience.
+ Relevant experience: Possess experience and demonstrate an understanding with installation of Microsoft Windows Server in Host and Compute Environments, and Windows Server 2012 using server images; Experience with implementation of storage solutions, window containers, high availability, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), network connectivity and remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, advance network infrastructure, and maintain and monitor server environments.
+ DoD 8570 IAT II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
+ A+ CE or current equivalent certification
+ ITIL Foundation certification within 60 days of start date.
