**About your role:**
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for design and development of network services and technologies to meet client and business unit requirements. **What you'll do:**
+ This role involves understanding of the client and business unit requirements, and designing and deploying optimal networking and connectivity solutions that enable clients and business units to achieve their operational and business goals.
+ Required to prepare recommendations and supporting details for formal proposals for network connectivity and configurations.
+ Day-to-day interaction with telecom providers, equipment suppliers and 3rd party network vendors, to engage their technical resources to perform tasks.

+ Resource can expect to routinely be called upon to analyze and interpret traffic and utilization of services on network connections.

This role requires extensive experience in network architecture, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring the optimal performance and security of our telecommunications systems. As a fully remote position, you will leverage your expertise to manage network operations and contribute to strategic network planning from anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, and deploy advanced telecommunications network solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and WAN/LAN technologies.
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize speed, reliability, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies and best practices to protect against threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators and software developers, to integrate network services.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of network upgrades and technology migrations.
  • Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Proven experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting in complex environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, and VPNs.
  • Experience with network security principles and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS).
  • Proficiency with network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Experience with cloud networking platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the US, while supporting our operations based in Omaha, Nebraska, US .
