Responsibilities:

- Configure and maintain network security devices such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, and SonicWall to meet regulatory and client-specific requirements.
- Monitor network traffic and security logs for unusual activity, respond to alerts, and lead incident response efforts when necessary.
- Oversee the security aspects of client onboarding and offboarding, including initial assessments and network hardening.
- Conduct vulnerability management tasks, coordinate penetration testing, and assist with remediation planning.
- Support clients in preparing for audits and compliance reporting for frameworks like SOC 2 and other industry standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, security policies, and operational procedures.

- Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise-grade firewalls and VPN solutions.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, VLANs, routing, switching, and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
- Familiarity with threat detection, endpoint protection, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and other industry standards.

Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Responsibilities include design and review of security controls, configuration, and monitoring of internal/external access controls and security safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems assets. This role will be focused on protecting system boundaries, keeping computer systems, applications and network devices hardened against attacks as well as monitoring and responding to significant security events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Depending on area of assignment may monitor, audit and/or maintain the security tools and systems (IDS, IPS, Firewall, VPN, NAC, WAF, and Web Proxies) for the corporate and SCADA/ICS computing environments.
• Assists Cybersecurity to remediate vulnerabilities and security incidents.
• Assists the Sr. Network Security Engineer(s) to conduct analysis of security requirements and controls to identify gaps and provides recommendations of industry best practices, trends, and technology products.
• Assists the Sr. Network Security Engineer(s) in the identification, evaluation, deployment, and optimization of security technologies.
• Collaborates with System Administrators, Information Security, Applications, SCADA/I&C and other information system staff to ensure adequate security solutions are in place for all IT systems and platforms to sufficiently mitigate identified risks and meet business objectives.
• Supports information security leadership team in strategic planning and development.
• Assists the Sr. Network Security Engineer(s) and Enterprise Architects to provide security design, consultancy, and assessment services; and introduces improvements in technical security standards and security implementation patterns and designs.
• Reviews and contributes to the improvement and standardization of security systems across all of IT.
• Implements, manages, and enforces electronic information security directives in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Ensures that the access control, disaster recovery, business continuity, and risk management needs of the organization are properly addressed as related to electronic protected health information (PHI).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
DECISION MAKING
• This position works under limited supervision.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study required from an accredited college or university plus four years of relevant IT work experience, to include three years in network security field.
• OR Associate's degree In Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study from an accredited college or university or technical institute plus eight years of relevant IT work experience, to include five years in network security field
• At least one 1 of the following professional information/network security certifications required:
o Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Security

• Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Professional certification - Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

• Programming skills in one or more language (Python, Ruby, Bash, PHP, Perl, and Java).

JOB DIMENSIONS

Job Summary:
Presidio is growing! We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our talented delivery team in Florida. Primary responsibilities include performing project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of complex data/security networks, development of security, routing, and switching configurations and deployment in medium to very large environments.
You'll also be providing network engineering consulting services, including: assessment, design and implementation of data and secure networking environments, assisting clients through planning, design and implementation of secure data communications networks, and developing comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation and effectively manage the implementation process from design to customer acceptance.
Travel Requirements:
In this role, you will be expected to travel to client sites 30% of the time across FL.
Job Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibilities include performing project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of data/security networks
- Working with junior members of the engineering team to successfully implement secure network solutions
- Routing, switching, and security configuration and deployment in an enterprise environment
- Provide network engineering consulting services, including: assessment, design and implementation of secure networking environments
- Assist clients through planning, design and implementation of secure data communications networks
- Develop comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation and effectively manage the implementation process from design to customer acceptance
Required Skills:
- Expert-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of the following:
- Network Access Control, including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) implementation design, configuration, and deployment in a lab environment
- IDS/IPS solutions (Cisco is a must)
- Firewalls/VPNs (Cisco is a must, Palo Alto, Juniper, etc. are optional)
- Complex routing and switching solutions (Cisco is a must, Arista is a plus)
- BS in CS or EE or 8-10 years related experience
- CCNP- REQUIRED at a minimum
- CCIE Security or R&S - Preferred
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
- 8+ years of networking experience, including configuring, analyzing & troubleshooting complex networks
