Maximus is seeking a Network Monitoring Engineer to provide expertise to a federal client in support of their mission critical systems in defense of our Homeland?
As a Network Monitoring Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. Your role will involve troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our network systems.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators.

- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues using firewall logs, switch packet capture tools; engaging with cross-functional teams to leverage support and collaboration when necessary

- Responsible for designing, installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining a LAN/WAN equipment required to provide telecommunications services in a complex environment consisting of various Cisco network equipment to include Nexus and Catalyst model as well as Integrated Service Routers.
- Responsible for designing networks utilizing switching technology to include VLAN, Inter-VLAN routing, trunking, and port aggregation on the WAN/LAN environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience OR associates degree with 15 years OR high school diploma with 20 years of relevant experience
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco catalyst switches
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco ASR routers
- IAT II certification (DoD 8140 required within 60 days of starting employment. Acceptable certifications include CCNA-Security/CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/ or SSCP)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with supporting cross-domain customer networks (VPNs, one-way data transfers, unclassified infra, Taclane 175), with expertise in Core/Distribution routing (MPLS/VPLS, OSPF, EIGRP) and Access switching.
- Experience with Linux network troubleshooting
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.
