The Systems & Network Administration provides system administration support of computers, servers, racks of equipment and configure/manage WAN/LAN interfaces. Provide support for web development, testing, system integration, installation scripts and other duties to support systems and network infrastructure. Monitor application processes to ensure high availability and accuracy.

Wages

Starting wage for the Systems & Network Administration will depend on experience and education. $105,000 to $115,000 annual salary.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities for the Systems & Network Administration include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Proficient in Cisco LAN/Wireless and VeloCloud SD-WAN technologies.

• Experience with Fortinet and PaloAlto Firewalls

• SSL and IPSEC VPN design, implementation, and monitoring

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, TCP/IP, BGP, SSH, SNMP, HTTPS, SFTP, DNS, RADIUS, etc.

• Deploy and Maintain network equipment firmware

• Design and configure network systems to meet organizational needs.

• Monitor network performance and uptime, troubleshoot issues as they arise.

• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain network integrity.

• Perform production operation support including log reviews, backup/recovery procedures and periodic maintenance.

• Diagnose and quickly resolve a wide range of networking problems to help minimize downtime.

• Oversee configuration management so as to enable controlled rollout of software versions with well-planned back-out procedures.

• Complete advanced solution design including Network segmentation and physical Infrastructure to ensure business objectives are met.

• Participate in Change Management Board to ensure product standardization and adherence to production policies and procedures.

• Document and maintain accuracy of standard operational procedures and best practices of areas of responsibility.

• Work with IT Management, IT Development, Accenture Support and other vendors to ensure on time resolution of customer impacting incidents.

• Oversee network-related projects in the office and hosting environments. This will include installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN appliances and of local and remote data center environments.

• Conduct network system audits to determine the efficiency of hardware and communication components and make recommendations to upgrade as needed to meet business needs.

• Participate in the development, implementation and testing of disaster recovery procedures for IT infrastructure.

• Work schedules may include rotating off-hour and weekend support with other windows team members to maintain consistent system availability.

• Support applications, particularly DBS, by reviewing error logs and messages, escalating to third-party support when necessary

• Perform other related duties/works as required.

COMPETENCIES

• Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Route/Switch configuration and management

• Cisco Meraki Wireless

• Familiarity with the TCP/IP network protocol, firewall management, configuration

• Knowledge of ActiveDirectory/Global Catalogue, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, etc.

• Familiarity with Internet filtering software

• Project management skills a definite asset;

• Strong understanding of objectives; good written and oral communication skills; good interpersonal skills; orientation; highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with 5 years of hands-on experience with network and server administration in an IT environment of 50+ servers; or equivalent combination of education and experience OR Two year degree from an accredited program or certification in Computer Systems plus 8 years' experience in a professional IT environment of 50+ servers.

  • Create authentic assessments of students knowledge, skills, and abilities in Cybersecurity and Network Administration that measure course, program, and college wide outcomes.
  • Apply multiple teaching and learning strategies that promote the affective, cognitive and kinesthetic domains of learning.
  • Use a wide range of learning resources, tools, and technologies to improve access and student success in higher education.
  • Support students in and out of the classroom, which includes directing them to student support services and resources.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Use local, state, and national data and analytics to continuously enhance strategies to improve student success.

Course Titles:
There are courses available in cybersecurity, network administration, and IT computer support both during the day and potentially for a newhybrid/weekend program that will launch in fall 2021.


Qualifications You Possess

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, OR an Associate's degree in Information Technology AND two years of industry related experience.
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft and Linux servers, Cisco network routers and switches, virtualization and latest penetration testing software.
  • Minimum of two years of recent and relevant work experience in an information technology field and/or providing information technology instruction at the post-secondary level.
  • Demonstrated experience or participation with persons from diverse backgrounds such as sexual orientation, racial, ethnic, religious, linguistic, gender, age, socio-economic, physical and learning abilities, and a commitment to an inclusive and equitable working/learning environment.

Job Summary

Provider Network Administration is responsible for the accurate and timely validation and maintenance of critical provider information on all claims and provider databases. Staff ensure adherence to business and system requirements of internal customers as it pertains to other provider network management areas, such as provider contracts.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Manages all aspects of the Provider Administration area and serves as contact point for all configuration issues to ensure processes are carried out timely and accurately.

  • Establishes, maintains and analyzes internal standard operating policies and procedures pertaining to department functions.

  • Produces reports related to provider network information.

  • Collaborates with local and corporate departments on issues related to provider loads including, but not limited to, Configuration, Business Systems, Encounters (inbound and outbound), Claims, Provider Services and Contracting.

  • Identifies issues, resolves problems and implements best practices.

Job Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience

  • 5-7 years managed care experience, including min. 2 years of supervisory experience

  • Min. 2 years health plan Provider Network experience

Required License, Certification, Association

N/A

Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Experience

  • 7+ years managed care experience

  • QNXT; SQL experience

  • Crystal Reports for data extraction

  • Access and Excel - intermediate plus skill level

Preferred License, Certification, Association
