Position Overview:

S2Technologies is seeking a reliable IT Computer Support Technician with strong attention to detail. This individual will collaborate closely with IT systems management staff to assist end users, install new systems, maintain existing infrastructure, and troubleshoot technical issues. The role involves direct support for personnel in the U.S. Attorney's Office, ensuring that IT systems and case management tools effectively support the operations of the Federal Attorney's Office in the District of Minnesota. Responsibilities include working with desktop and laptop computers, LAN, SQL Server and web-based applications, handheld and wireless technology, and litigation support systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and administering computer systems
• Experience with system performance and optimization
• Troubleshoot database performance problems
• Perform wide range of system administration functions

What You'll Do

Adjunct instructors will work with other faculty members, staff, and administrators to:

• Create and facilitate contextualized and integrated learning experiences in Cybersecurity and Network Administration in relation to identified college pathways that are linked to career goals.
• Be available to teach classes during the daytime hours or-- evenings and weekends.
• Teach courses on-line, hybrid, and/or virtually.
• Create authentic assessments of students knowledge, skills, and abilities in Cybersecurity and Network Administration that measure course, program, and college wide outcomes.
• Apply multiple teaching and learning strategies that promote the affective, cognitive and kinesthetic domains of learning.
• Use a wide range of learning resources, tools, and technologies to improve access and student success in higher education.
• Support students in and out of the classroom, which includes directing them to student support services and resources.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Use local, state, and national data and analytics to continuously enhance strategies to improve student success.

Course Titles:
There are courses available in cybersecurity, network administration, and IT computer support both during the day and potentially for a newhybrid/weekend program that will launch in fall 2021.

Qualifications You Possess

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, OR an Associate's degree in Information Technology AND two years of industry related experience.
• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft and Linux servers, Cisco network routers and switches, virtualization and latest penetration testing software.
• Minimum of two years of recent and relevant work experience in an information technology field and/or providing information technology instruction at the post-secondary level.
• Demonstrated experience or participation with persons from diverse backgrounds such as sexual orientation, racial, ethnic, religious, linguistic, gender, age, socio-economic, physical and learning abilities, and a commitment to an inclusive and equitable working/learning environment.
• Collaborative -- The ability to work in culturally diverse groups toward a common goal by involving, including,and valuing others.
• Experience and/or leadership in serving, advocating for, collaborating with, and/or representing specific underrepresented marginalized communities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco CCT, CCNA.
