Joint Ventures Associate Attorney - Multiple Locations
Direct Counsel is seeking a Joint Ventures Associate to join a top-tier national law firm.

The firm is looking for an associate with 2-6 years of experience handling complex real estate joint ventures , limited liability company agreements, and partnership agreements. This position is open in the firm's Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, and New York offices.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience with sophisticated real estate joint ventures and entity structuring
• Strong drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work collaboratively on a team while managing independent responsibilities
• Experience at a major law firm (preferred)
• A record of academic excellence
• Admission to the State Bar of California or New York , depending on office location

Salary Range:

• For candidates with 2-4 years of experience: $210,000 - $50,000
• For candidates with 3-6 years of experience: 225,000 - 300,000
  Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and qualifications.

* Support all aspects of the Ventures investment lifecycle, including:
* Be an external presence in the crypto ecosystem, building connective tissue with founders, investors, and technical subject matter experts
* Over time: become the "go-to" subject matter expert in multiple themes / verticals to support both Ventures investments and broader Coinbase product strategy, and independently lead investments end to end.
* Drive select special projects to continually improve and upgrade Coinbase Ventures operational platform and processes (i.e., "firm building")
*What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):*
* 3+ years of experience in a highly analytical business role (e.g., investment banking, management consulting, VC/PE) focused on emerging technologies AND/OR technical building role (e.g., product, engineering) in crypto
* Hands-on experience in crypto (i.e. building, trading, research, etc) with a deep understanding of onchain mechanics and emerging trends
* Demonstrated passion and understanding across the crypto landscape with strong points of view and emerging investment judgment
