Job Summary: A leading mining operation is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician Supervisor to manage the electrical team at its underground zinc mining site. This role combines hands-on troubleshooting with team management, and the ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge in industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, DC/AC drives, and high-voltage equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the electrical team, prioritizing and coordinating tasks effectively.
- Plan and schedule work, managing inventory and ordering materials as needed for upcoming projects.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLC panels, drives, motors, transformers, fans, pumps, and generators.
- Work with various electrical components including 4-20 mA, 4160, 13.8, AC up to 480v, 5kva, and DC voltages.
- Interpret and follow electrical schematics and prints.
- Assist with tasks both underground and on the surface as needed.
- Develop expertise in hoisting and crushing operations, troubleshooting these systems as required.
- Minimum of 5 years in industrial electrical work, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and working with PLCs, DC/AC drives, and high-voltage equipment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with department managers and team members.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions safely and efficiently.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
