Apple's RF System Engineering team is looking for a passionate, self-motivated individual to work on integration of NFC technologies into Apple's wireless products. **Description** You will validate & characterize wireless system performance across wireless technologies towards industry conformance / use case requirements, perform debug and failure analysis of issues with cross-functional engineering teams and drive issues to closure. You will be responsible to complete certification testing. Examples of activities you may be involved in are: - Executing validation and characterization test plans to meet industry and performance requirements. - Bringing-up device-under-test and setups for validation readiness. - Defining test requirements, design and implementing test systems. - Tracking validation status, analyze results, communicate issues & insights from data to cross functional forum. - Performing failure analysis to understand low margin or failures making use of experimental SW/FW and mock-up hardware. - Collaborating with test equipment vendors, technology suppliers and cross-functional staff to optimize radio performance of device. - Supporting manufacturing test and Certification of Apple products. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of relevant industry experience. + Practical knowledge in NFC. + Experience with using RF lab test equipment. **Preferred Qualifications** + Master's Degree with 3+ years of relevant industry experience is preferred. + Practical knowledge of transceiver architecture and RF front-end characteristics that impact NFC system level RF parametric including field strength, sensitivity, etc. + Practical knowledge of NFC technology including its standards (ISO14443, EMVCo) including performance requirements, conformance requirements and required testing methodologies. + Experience with test evaluation and hands-on debug of troubleshooting NFC. + Hands-on experience with RF equipments such as network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes. + Excellent written & verbal communication skills. + Working knowledge of MAC/PHY Layer and application layer for NFC is a plus. + Proficiency at HFSS/CST simulations to model/analyze wireless HW issues is a plus. **Pay & Benefits** At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. + Manage project tasks, timelines, and dependencies.
+ Communicate with key stakeholders' status, next steps and any risks.
+ Propose processes, gather buy-in and implement the new plan, working closely with T/PgM team.

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Key job responsibilities
As the Senior Manager of HW Wireless HW Development and Test, you will help to build and supervise a team of experts in antenna prototyping and test for both R&D and production phases.
In this role, you will be overseeing the following:
- Develop over the air test infrastructure including anechoic chambers and robotic nearfield scanners
- Develop prototyping capability including equipment, SW tools, rework stations, inspection cameras
- Build and test prototypes in support of R&D efforts
- Conduct test and verification on HW at different stages of the product cycle, generate test reports and provide analysis on the results in support of different development and production activities
- Develop post processing algorithms and tools in support of antenna, RF and electrical test
- Develop the technology solutions, define and execute products and test infrastructure for upcoming generations of Kuiper's wireless technology
- Develop planning and resource management systems in support of HW test at scale
This is a highly visible role with several internal customers, a sizeable body of full time and/or contingent staff, a very large facility that hosts highly advanced test systems.

· Experience in development in cross-disciplinary environment
· Deep understanding of antenna test systems and post-processing algorithms
