Estimator - Positions available throughout the Southeast and East Coast

Position Overview

The Estimator is responsible for assessing project costs and preparing detailed estimates for commercial painting and coatings projects. This role involves collaboration with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely bid submissions, contributing to the overall success of the company's projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project plans and specifications to understand project requirements and scope.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial painting and coatings projects.
  • Analyze labor, materials, and overhead costs to develop comprehensive bids.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to clarify project needs and requirements.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing and services.
  • Monitor project costs and provide updates to management throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an estimator in the commercial painting or coatings industry.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial painting processes, materials, and coatings.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in cost estimation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The Commercial Glazier / Lead Commercial Glazier must have experience working with storefronts, glass in various surfaces and settings, such as windows,

doors, mirrors, insulated glass units, shower door enclosures, display cases, tabletops and other glass applications. The Commercial

Glazier is responsible for interacting with customers/contractors, team members and management to ensure a smooth transaction

with our company, while providing the highest possible level of quality workmanship and service with a low warranty percentage.

Provides excellent communication skills with persons in and outside of the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Remove/replace storefront and glass from structures

• Install glass in windows, skylights, store fronts and display cases, or on surfaces, such as building fronts, interior walls,

ceilings and table tops

• Cut, assemble, fit and attach metal-framed glass enclosures for showers, bathtubs, display cases, skylights and other

structures

• Fabricate and install moldings for glass installation using aluminum or steel framing

• Set glass doors into frames and bolt metal hinges, handles, locks and other hardware to attach doors to frames and walls

• Load and arrange glass and mirrors onto trucks

• Use chemicals and adhesive systems as instructed to facilitate installation

• Frequent customer interaction and ability to build relationships

• Problem solving and troubleshooting as necessary

• Select appropriate tools, safety equipment, and parts, according to job requirements

• Team environment orientated

• Operating and maintaining a company vehicle

Responsibilities:
  • Provides service to the customer base by repairing and overhauling equipment, such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical and mechanical control devices in a safe, efficient, and timely manner that exceeds customers’ expectations
  • Provides general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, such as air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors in a safe and timely manner.
  • Provides preventative maintenance activities for customers by diagnosing equipment malfunction and any operating deficiency of the mechanical equipment to ensure quality work performance for the customer base.
  • Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and/or mechanical skills.
  • Maintain legible corporate and personal records of work history.
  • Provides department support by processing job tickets, and work orders to the necessary department promptly.
  • Provide support by picking up, delivering, and installing cases.
  • Perform work on minor construction and remodeling projects including startups of new installations.
  • Drives company vehicle in a safe manner.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • 3-4 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration, HVAC, ice machines, gas furnace and electrical required.
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • EPA certification.
  • Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school is a plus!
  • Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with single systems and rack systems along with previous work on display cases and walk-in boxes is very helpful.
  • Must have a good driving record and be able to work independently.
  • Emergency on-call availability is a basic requirement.
  • Must be able to lift to 60 lbs. with no assistance and also be able to sit and/or stand for several hours at a time.
