**What Clinical Operations contributes to Cardinal Health**
As a PRN, this individual will work on the assigned practice's PPS Analytics portal inputting specific information into the charts of assigned patients as well as placing patients into correct clinical stages.
**Location / Hours** - Fully remote, this PRN will work on an as-needed basis.
**_Responsibilities_**
Information that may be asked to be reviewed and updated (in this role) include the following:
+ Primary and Secondary treatments with dates
+ Laboratory levels with dates
+ Gleason scores and clinical T stages with onset dates
+ Imaging tests with dates and impression (positive, negative, inconclusive
+ Staging patients into correct clinical stages within PPS
**Qualifications:**
+ Licensed medical professionals preferred
+ Ability to work in a group (and independently, given the remote aspect of this role)
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills required
+ Strong customer service skills required
+ Detail oriented

• Maintains patient rights.
• Ensures that patients receive the appropriate treatments and medications in a timely manner.

• Delegates patient care to other members of the health care team; ensures the delegated task(s) are within the scope of practice of the assigned individual and maintains oversight and accountability.
• Coordinates direct patient care from appropriate support services.
• Provides individualized patient education to patient and families.

4. Evaluates the patient's progress toward attainment of outcomes.

• Confirms identity, verifies operative site, surgical procedure, NPO status, and any patient allergies.

• Assesses and reports any deviations from normal in preoperative diagnostic studies.
• Assesses readiness to learn based on patient's perceptions and expectations of care.

6. Provides intraoperative nursing care.

• Implements aseptic technique by creating and maintaining a sterile field.
• Monitors physical status of patient, to administer drugs and solutions as prescribed.
• Monitors and controls the environment and considers all assessment information for the plan of care and demonstrates individual choice based on identified patient needs.

• Assesses the timing and need for a sponge, needle, and instrument count and performs required counts accurately.

7. Sets up equipment and supplies for surgical procedures based on patient needs.

• Minimizes the length of invasive procedure by planning care: anticipates needs for equipment and supplies and selects in an organized and timely manner.
• Uses supplies and equipment within safe parameters by ensuring all equipment is functioning before use and removing malfunctioning equipment for use.
• Implements protective measures to prevent injury due to electrical, laser, radiation, chemical, thermal, or mechanical sources.

You will be responsible for alert and event response operations, service account management, certificate management, change control and implementation operations, vulnerability management, service requests, OS patching, and packaged software installation. + Ability to understand, debug scripts such as Unix shell scripts, Windows PowerShell, Perl and Python from a system administration support perspective
+ Experience in performing root cause analysis for incidents and problems in a production environment. Should be able to analyze system logs, performance metrics, and service behavior to identify underlying issues and recommend long-term solutions
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering preferred
