The Position:

Asa PICC Registered Nurse with SpecialtyCare, you will be responsible forinserting PICC lines, rounds on all patients, dressing changes on central linesand proper documentation/charting for patients with central access. Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties

• InsertPICC lines, rounds on all patients with central access, and performs dressingchanges on central IV lines.
• Assessthe need for central line access to be continued and make suggestions foralternate IV access.
• Evaluate"difficult" stick patients for PICC or other access. Data collectionon central lines sites, etc. is also a job function. Will perform difficult IV sticks and PICCinsertions as needed.
• PerformPICC line service using established organizational policies, procedures,practice guidelines, and/or standardized written protocols/orders.
• Documentall procedures to patients in patient's chart, on face sheets and processesface sheets in accordance with established procedures to ensure accurateaccounting.
• Shareon-call responsibilities with the rest of the team as directed by team leader.
• Incorporateethical principles as the foundation for decision making. Acts as a patient advocate; maintains patientconfidentiality, safety, and security; and respects, promotes, preserves humanautonomy, dignity, rights, and diversity.

GeneralDuties

Qualifications:

• Nursing Degree along with a PICC Line certification from an accredited PICC Line education/certification program (i.e. Infusion Nurse Specialist (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion) ).
• Licensed to practice in the state of Florida or compact state.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a CRNI. Additional levels of experience as a CRNI may vary by position based on clinical and operational needs.

Summary & Objective

The Registered Nurse is responsible for identifying and coordinating patient/family needs and for providing preventive and supportive care to the terminally ill patient/family unit. The Registered Nurse utilizes assessment, intervention and teaching skills in caring for the patient/family unit.

Essential Functions

* Assess physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the patient and family within 24 hours of admission into the Inpatient Unit.
* Completes accurate and appropriate documentation of patient/family services within 24 hours of visit and maintains accuracy of electronic medical record including accuracy of medication profile.
* Coordinates care to the patient and family within the Interdisciplinary team and availability of all resources.
* Collaborates with Nursing Home staff by initiating the written plan of care, maintaining professional management of hospice care and attending care plan meetings.
* Actively participates in quality assurance and performance improvement projects as directed by Clinical Team.
* Serves as case manager and advocate to the patient and family while collaborating with attending physicians, insurance case managers, skilled nursing facility staff, assisted living facility staff as well as all health-related practitioners.
* Administers medications and treatments prescribed by the attending physician and/or hospice physician.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide direct patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner as related to scope of practice.
• Provide supervision of assigned direct patient care staff, including pre-assessment, monitoring of treatment initiation, intradialytic monitoring, treatment termination, and post-assessment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• An Associate's degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required. Prefer Bachelor's degree in Nursing

• Minimum of two years of recent dialysis experience required.
• Candidates with Med/Sur, ICU/CCU, or ER or other critical care experience preferred.
• Certification in Dialysis specialty encouraged.
• Must obtain CPR/BLS certification within first 60 days if not already certified.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts (dialysis equipment and machinery). The employees may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (lifting patients, etc.), includes ability to carry and transport up to 50 pounds up to 60 feet. DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outpatient dialysis team. In this role, you'll provide life-saving care to patients with end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney conditions. No dialysis experience required-just a commitment to compassionate, high-quality care. .

Responsibilities:

* Deliver direct patient care in an outpatient dialysis setting
* Monitor patients, manage treatment plans, and respond to health changes
* Collaborate with a supportive clinical team, including Patient Care Technicians
* Educate patients and families on kidney health and treatment options
* Float to nearby clinics as needed; flexible schedule required

What to Expect:

* Broad nursing skill application with medically complex patients
* Paid training provided

Schedule:

* Flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Training may occur at a clinic other than your home location

Qualifications:

* RN license in the state of practice
* ADN required; BSN preferred
* Basic computer proficiency
* Reliable transportation for potential floating

Preferred (Not Required):

* Experience in ICU, CCU, ER, or Med Surg
* CNN/CDN certification
