How You Will Contribute:

The Nurse Manager is responsible for coordinating along with the Director of Nursing (DON) in the supervision, oversight, and operations of the nursing department and staff, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. The Nurse Manager provides direct client care, takes physician orders, prepares, administers resident medications, and coordinates outside diagnostic or medical services as ordered by the physician.




Relationships and Contacts

Within the organization: Maintains frequent and close working relationships with the facility Executive Director, National Director of Admissions, Nursing team, Milieu Supervisor, facility leadership, and Psychiatric Technicians

Outside the organization: May initiate and maintain working relationships with clinical providers, referral partners, clients and vendors as needed and directed.



Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership and supervision to the nursing team, to include hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Supervises Nursing staff, ensuring adequate shift coverage, and oversees both the Stables Medication Program and the PHP medication program.
  • Provides medication management oversite ensuring an accurate accounting of medication charting/procedures/training for all nursing staff.
  • Manages the nursing area in collaboration with the Director of Nursing ensuring medications are secured at all times.
  • Ensures all admission/discharge nursing duties are conducted and documented within required timeframes.
  • Works closely with vendors and contractors providing clinical services (i.e., pharmacy, lab, biohazard pick up, etc.) ensuring proper communication and procedures are followed; provides account management.
  • Ensures effective communication and collaboration between medical/nursing staff, medical vendors, and direct care team.
  • Oversees daily vital signs, glucose monitoring, lab specimen collection and follow up, medication distribution, and documentation.
  • Oversees medical issues daily and reports through appropriate channels, as needed.
  • Takes medication orders from MD/NP conducts daily medication order follow up, and orders medication ensuring proper delivery from pharmacy.
  • Maintains medical supply inventory and places supply orders, as needed.
  • Ensures all admission/discharge nursing duties are conducted and documented within required timeframes.
  • Provides medication management and oversite ensuring accurate accounting of medication charting/procedures/training for all nursing staff.
  • Maintains biohazard accounts and procedures, ensuring team members are trained on and adhere to infection control procedures.
  • Oversees all pharmacy paperwork/forms-includes controlled substances.
  • Provides direct nursing care to clients throughout the treatment period.
  • Completes comprehensive nursing assessments and assists in the development of a treatment plan, to include suicide risk assessments.
  • Performs daily vital signs, glucose monitoring, lab specimen collection and follow up, medication distribution, and documentation.
  • Coordinates external client medical appointments with team members.
  • Engages therapeutically with clients in the milieu.
  • Monitors labs/EKGs/other tests and communicating results with medical providers.
  • Works with insurance companies on patient medications, completes insurance forms, and calls as needed.
  • Participates in treatment team meetings and discussions contributing to the therapeutic care of each client.




What We’re Seeking:

  • Position requires a bachelor’s degree in nursing, active state Registered Nurse license, and 5+ years of experience Nursing/Clinical Experience. Previous mental health treatment experience strongly preferred.



Additional Requirements

  • Position requires incumbent to have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and acceptable driving record.
  • Clearance of criminal background, TB test, and any other mandatory state/federal requirements.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification

+ Directs the activities of the nursing department. Oversight of the nursing team to ensure scheduling and administrative duties are completed timely.

**Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements:**
+ Registered Nurse with an active and unrestricted license in the current state of practice and at least 3 years of home health/infusion care experience, **OR** at least 1yr of nursing supervisory/managerial experience in a home care setting.
+ At least 1 year of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expense and capital budgets.
**Basic Qualifications & Interests:**
+ Experience applying knowledge of local, State, Federal, accrediting body, and OSHA rules and regulations.
+ Demonstrates competency in the clinical management of home infusion patients as evidenced by documented previous work experience. Knowledgeable and competent in-patient management skills including the nursing process. Demonstrated knowledge of documentation and billing requirements for home health/infusion care goods and services.

+ Participate in the development and implementation of service plans and supervise, in conjunction with the physicians, the medical components of the plans
+ Review documents and revise all nursing-related care plans on a regular basis
+ Oversee the management of high-risk medical conditions and private duty nursing services
**_Qualifications:_**
+ Graduate of an accredited RN program with current state RN license
+ Minimum of five years of experience working with medically and/or behaviorally complex individuals; experience with children with special needs preferred One year of supervisory experience
+ Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance if providing transportation to individuals receiving services
+ Current CPR/First Aid certification
+ Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
+ Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport with others

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of nursing operations within the CRC
  • Ensure high-quality, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care
  • Supervise and mentor a team of nurses and clinical staff
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
  • Respond to clinical needs and adjust staffing levels based on patient acuity
  • Uphold safety and regulatory standards across shifts
  • Assist in onboarding, training, and performance reviews
  • Support program development through data reporting and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide direct clinical care as needed

Position Requirements:

  • RN licensed in the State of Ohio (BSN required; MSN preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience (inpatient psychiatric preferred)
  • At least 1 year of charge nurse or administrative/supervisory experience strongly preferred

The nurse manager will promote the mission and values of the organization and be an active advocate of providing quality patient care, excellent customer service and efficient health care.  As a member of the management team, the nurse manager will be involved in system planning, budgeting, manpower planning and program development in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Oklahoma or applicable Multi-state RN license
  • A minimum of 3 years Surgical Services RN experience
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified within 30 days of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certified within 30 days of hire
