Effective communication is an important role in the work of the CNA Lead as working with a multi-disciplinary team and clients of a diverse background can require strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills as well as the ability to read, write and speak English.**
**As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, the CNA Lead provides direct care, treatment, support, and leisure activities to residents of the Forensic Nursing Home while also providing training for the CNA staff in the Forensic Nursing Home.**
**Day-to-day responsibilities of this position include:**
+ **Providing care to residents in accordance with the plan of care and under the direction of a licensed nurse while maintaining a therapeutic working relationship with residents.**
+ **Working alongside, providing mentorship and training CNA staff in the Forensic Nursing Home**
+ **Providing input on operational processes and participate in process improvement initiatives**

The Nursing Team Lead acts as the Pain Center Resource Coordinator and Educator who works in collaboration with the Pain Center Program Manager to ensure quality standards of care and assists in coordination of Department Performance Improvement activities. The incumbent also serves as the Nurse Educator and functions as a Resource Nurse, overseeing the orientation process, and assisting with students. As a Registered Nurse, also responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care for patients in varying stages of the Pain Center Procedural area. Pain Center nurses are accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Ohio RN license; Current CPR and ACLS certification required at the time of hire. Current certification in area of specialty preferred or demonstrated expert clinical skills in area of specialty.
Experience: Minimum 3 - 5 years of hospital RN experience is required. 1 year experience as a Pain Center Nurse. Teaching/preceptor and critical care experience is preferred.

Lead Nursing Specialist

This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care by professional nursing personnel and other staff members. As a Lead Nursing Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the unit's delivery of evidence-based patient care in a cost-effective manner.

You will provide leadership and clinical management to members of the healthcare team, participating in the integration of the Nursing Philosophy along with the mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in accountability for ongoing delivery of patient care in designated areas of responsibility.
  • Achieve application of the nursing process by Registered Nurses in the clinical setting (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
  • Ensure documentation of patient care in the medical record.
  • Address concerns and resolve problems using data from various sources to initiate continuous quality improvement within the department/unit.
Operations and Personnel Management:
  • Maintain daily unit operations, including staffing, patient visits, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Participate in recruitment, selection, retention, and evaluation of personnel.
  • Ensure appropriate orientation, training, competence, continuing education, and professional growth and development of personnel.
Professional Development and Leadership:
  • Practice as a colleague with medical staff, other members of the interdisciplinary team, and other disciplines to initiate and support collaborative and cooperative clinical management practices.
  • Contribute to the development of self and staff through orientation and continuing education.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
