Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Healthcare Development, with a dotted line reporting to the Chief Hospital Executive (CHE), the **Executive Director, Development** functions as the lead development officer for the general and active management of the affairs of the hospital foundation. Responsibilities include working collaboratively with the CHE to ensure the development and execution of approved fundraising plans and a comprehensive, integrated fundraising program, as well as monitoring of financial assets and fund allocation, in consultation with the hospital foundation Board and HMH Foundation Operations. The Executive Director provides leadership to the board to motivate and execute a comprehensive, compelling and successful fundraising plan.
**This position is located in Manahawkin, NJ at Southern Ocean Medical Center.**
**Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:**
+ Ten or more years of professional experience in the development field.
+ Demonstrated success with major gifts and capital campaigns.
+ Established track record closing six- and seven-figure gifts independently.
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field.
+ Highly functional with Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Highly articulate and professional with strong oral and written communication skills.
**Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:**
+ Experience managing legal, financial, and general management responsibilities for a not-for-profit organization.
+ Masters degree or specialized certification.
+ Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
+ Experience in a healthcare environment, preferably a hospital system.
+ Experience working with Raiser's Edge and/or other fundraising/CRM management software.

Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator
At Better Hearing Centers, the Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional experience for patients seeking hearing healthcare. Acting as the first point of contact, this role ensures smooth coordination of appointments, accurate record management, and supportive communication between patients and hearing specialists. The coordinator helps patients navigate their journey to better hearing with compassion, efficiency, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet patients warmly and provide a welcoming, compassionate environment.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and online inquiries; schedule appointments promptly and accurately.
• Educate patients about clinic services, hearing aid options, and follow-up care.
• Serve as the liaison between patients and hearing care professionals to ensure continuity of care. Scheduling & Coordination
• Manage the daily schedule for audiologists and hearing instrument specialists.
• Confirm, reschedule, and follow up on appointments to maintain clinic flow and minimize no-shows.
• Coordinate new patient intakes, hearing tests, fittings, and follow-up visits. Administrative Support
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health system (EHR).
• Process hearing aid orders, repairs, and warranty claims.
• Track inventory and coordinate with vendors for supplies or product returns.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including insurance or referral documentation. Insurance & Billing Assistance
• Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain any necessary pre-authorizations.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic financial policies. Team Collaboration
• Support audiologists and providers with patient preparation and documentation.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to workflow improvements.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented atmosphere focused on patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 1–2 years in a medical office, audiology clinic, or hearing aid center strongly preferred.
- Skills: • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working with elderly patients and those with hearing challenges
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

In this position you will:
- Contribute to a high functioning team
- Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights
- Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests
- Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices
- Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference
- Other duties as assigned
Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the bedside RN and charge nurse to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties assigned to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient through the RN and Charge Nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Required Qualifications:
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training Medical Terminology Course. Or equivalent educ/experience.
- Successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
- 6 months Health care experience.
