This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include, but is not limited to, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, rollers, and/or excavators.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Our engineers work alongside a full service, multidisciplinary team of professionals, working to deliver comprehensive engineering consulting to our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projects across energy and natural gas, including large pipeline design, control valve stations, power generation and process controls design. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our growing team and will have the opportunity to engage across markets and geographies.
This is not a remote position. Travel may be required to support design efforts.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform engineering design development and calculations on complex designs including:
+ Transmission & Distribution Pipeline Design
+ Metering and Regulation Stations
+ Remote Valve Sites
+ Regulatory Compliance
+ Natural Gas Generation & power plant design
+ Process Control Design and Integration
+ Produce construction drawings and details associated with multidisciplinary engineering projects.
+ Perform design work and engineering analyses
+ Jurisdictional Permitting and Agency Coordination
+ Assist in managing project progress, budgets, and schedules
**Qualifications**
+ 5+ years of relevant engineering design experience
+ Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including eCFR 49 Part 192 and ASME B31.8
+ Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
+ Candidates should have experience within the Oil and Gas discipline including experience with design, permitting, and applicable software applications
+ Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasks
+ Familiar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards
+ Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and CADWORX
+ Ability to develop engineering design plan sets and other construction documents
+ Design experience that includes site layout, mechanical design, station work and permitting

Our Team
This role will be based in Houston, TX, and be on one of the nine regional teams that cover US and Canada.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with traders, analysts, and other stakeholders to develop and execute natural gas scheduling strategies that align with our trading objectives.
- Partner with third-party pipeline operators, storage providers, and transportation companies to ensure the timely and reliable delivery of natural gas.
- Monitor and analyze market conditions, pipeline capacities, storage inventory levels, and transportation rates to optimize scheduling decisions and maximize profitability.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transportation contracts, nominations, confirmations, and scheduling activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any scheduling discrepancies, operational issues, or contract disputes.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 1+ year of Scheduling experience
What Will Put You Ahead
- 2-3 years of Scheduling experience
- Experience in an Energy or Commodity based business
- Experience with trade capture and risk management systems

JOB SCOPE:
- Perform in the Natural Gas Utility industry using related experience and knowledge standards and codes.
- NGA/EWN Operator Qualifications is a requirement for all applicants.
- Reads andinterpret work scope, engineered drawings, and PI&Ds to determine work procedures and build method.
- Works in a safe manner according to company and site safety standards.
- Past welding certification history is a plus.
- Qualified individuals must possess a full range of mechanical knowledge as well as the ability to fabricate and install piping and equipment as specified on drawings and PI&Ds. Must be proficient with common typed of pipe connections such as grooved, threaded, soldered, brazed and welded.
- This individual should have excellent communication skills and be a team player.
- A strong customer-service focus is essential to succeed in this position.Interested candidates should be willing to work flexible hours to meet the installation needs of our customers.
- Able to work overtime when needed.
- Must be able to successfully complete a background and DOT drug screening.
Education:A High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), Vocational School Training is helpful but not required
Experience:Min. 5 years + of experience in Natural Gas Utility Construction required.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Layout & fit pipes, threaded, welded, compression, soldered, and brazed joint configurations
- Layout and install structural steel pipe support members
- Material range: Stainless Steels, Carbon Steels, PVC, HDPE, Copper
- NGA Operator Qualification a plus + (this is a requirement and will need to be obtained by candidates)
Certificates & Licenses required: Massachusetts Pipefitter License (NH, RI, CT licenses are a plus)
Other Requirements: Valid Drivers License - Class D & OSHA 10 Certification
