Job Purpose:
A Project Manager for Equipment Production department is responsible for executing New Model and/or Business Plan project activity across design, manufacturing, quality, and production in achieving the new model quality, cost, and delivery targets which are critical to the success of New Model launch at the production site for large or multi-plant full model change (FMC) or minor model changes (MMC) while under the guidance of the Unit Lead or assigned mentor. You will be expected to influence cross-functional Honda teams within the department and respective plant locations with support/direction from the Unit Lead or assigned mentor.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the execution of Equipment New Model (NM) and Business Plan (BP) Projects to achieve the project general schedule and specified action plan. Use technical expertise to develop Project Specified Action Plan (SAP) and develop resolutions to schedule delays/concerns from manufacturing overlaps from tool sets and projects with guidance from Unit Lead or assigned mentor
- Collaborate and lead communications with all required entities across Production Engineering Business Unit (PEBU), Global and Local Honda (Manufacturing Management Center , Accounting, Purchasing, etc.), Honda Engineering of Japan, Local and Global Suppliers. Communicate project status to all levels of management. Drive daily/weekly meetings and coordinate with support groups and other Auto Development Center (ADC) Business Unit’s.
- Lead the execution of maturation adjustment activities to meet build events and mass production dates. Use technical expertise to provide guidance and/or direction on action achievement.
- Lead and chair evaluations based on Technical and Management evaluation requirements during the execution phase. Expected to develop expertise and build proficiency in New Model evaluation content.
- Resolve issues and conflicts that arise during the project so that project goals and targets can be successfully achieved. Expected to negotiate and influence outcomes with cross functional teams, suppliers, Japanese counterparts with the guidance of the Unit Lead or assigned mentor.
- Monitor Plant activities to proactively identify issues and develop countermeasures to improve Plant Characteristics, Competitiveness, and KPI achievement
- Statement of Work (SOW), including acceptance criteria, for Outside Supplier
- Expected to grow New Model knowledge, skill, develop expertise, and build proficiency in New Model activity.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in design, manufacturing, and/or maturation methods for equipment manufacturing or relevant years of experience in Engineering/Production
- MS Office, Communication – Public Speaking/Presentation skills, Problem solving and decision making, & Interaction with executive level management. Total Quality Management (TQM) style analysis and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
- Need to be comfortable on Plant Floor Production area, open office, and meeting room
- Short to moderate periods of high workload based on needs of overlapping projects
- Domestic and International travel as needed. 10% of the time.

General Responsibilities / Duties:
Set DevOps Strategy - Define and drive the DevOps vision, roadmap, and adoption of modern practices across engineering teams.
Support Development Teams - Partner with application teams and service vendors to implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and release automation in support of their development and delivery goals. The ideal candidate is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and contributing directly to engineering efforts to ensure delivery excellence and platform reliability.
Design and Evolve an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) - Lead the design and implementation of an IDP that enables development teams with self-service capabilities, standardized tooling, and reusable infrastructure components.
Maintain Toolchain and Infrastructure - Oversee and improve the DevOps toolchain, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure to support all stages of the software development lifecycle.
Foster Continuous Improvement - Evaluate and adapt to emerging DevOps and platform engineering trends to modernize processes and tools, where sensible and impactful.

Summary Manages all activities related to operations and development of company products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
* Provides input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products.
* Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
* Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
* Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
* Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
* Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
* Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.
* Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
* Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
* Manages up to 5 subordinate supervisors who supervise 50+ employees in the Special Projects, Shipping and Receiving, Packing, Order Processing, Routing, Inventory and Auditing departments.
* Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
* Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
* Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum 5 years of warehouse operations management experience
* Minimum 1 year of cold storage experience required
* Must have experience working in production based/fast paced environment
* Warehouse performance management experience required
* Ability to speak Spanish preferred

Pay Range:
$70k - $75k annually
