ENERCON's Energy Group provides engineering support to commercial & industrial facilities, Department of Energy sites, traditional fossil and hydropower generation facilities, and alternative, renewable, and sustainable power generation facilities, such as solar or alternative fuels.

Join our team and take on a pivotal role in creating existing conditions plans, site plan layouts, grading & drainage plans, utility plans & profiles, and support drawings for Erosion Control & Stormwater Management plans. Conducting site walkdowns to collaborate with Engineers may also be possible for some site applications. This role offers the opportunity to work independently, refine your technical skills, and contribute to projects that have a lasting impact, driving innovation and excellence in the industry. This role can be located in one of the following offices:

Responsibilities

As a Designer, your day is a dynamic blend of creative problem-solving and technical precision, where you bring designs to life using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

  • Creative Design & Drafting Excellence: Create and/or modify detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Understand AutoCAD national standards. Display high attention to detail and perform peer checks for other designers
  • Client Collaboration & Site Engagement: Perform walkdowns at client sites and generate walkdown reports. Work directly with Engineering and other designers for design concept interpretation and coordination
  • Quality Assurance & Leadership Impact: Conduct self-checks of created models, drawings, sketches, and related data to proactively identify factors that may negatively affect final product. May review the work of other designers/drafters and provide mentoring and leadership. Communicate internally with engineers and designers and maintain high level of organization
  • Safety & Standards Adherence: Understand and follow all organizational, area/departmental, and client procedures, safety policies, and directives
  • Time Management & Efficiency: Meet applied time goals set for position/discipline


Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree and 6 or more years experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years drafting civil-site drawing plans OR HS with 10+ years of experience
  • High competency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Ability to interpret field survey points and data notes for creation of Existing Conditions Plans
  • Strong skills with site grading and spot drainage design
  • Ability to create utility plans and profiles
  • Be able to use Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • The candidate should have a general knowledge of land development plan sets and permitting drawings
  • Ability to travel between 5-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs
  • AutoCAD 3D modeling experience / working with Point Clouds preferred
  • Autodesk Recap, Plant 3D, MicroStation, or Revit experience is a plus


Pay Range

USD $75,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.

Civil Site Designer II

The Impact You Will Have
  • Collect, organize, document, and communicate data and perform modeling, analysis, and/or design calculations of projects elements.
  • Produce completed plans for permitting and construction as well as concept plans, advanced planning, and master planning under direction of others.
  • Compute quantities and demonstrate awareness of relationships to pay items.
  • Organize calculations to be included in design files, following project standards.
  • Coordinate drafting of plan elements.
  • Help produce a fully coordinated set of project documents including plans and specifications, inspections at project construction locations as well as pre-construction diligence.
  • Develop cursory knowledge of applicable codes and standards and use of applicable CADD and Microsoft software.

What You Will Need
  • Civil Engineering degree or related discipline required.

Join our growing Civil Site Land Development team as a Civil Designer I. In this role you will work on land development projects. As a Designer you will perform engineering models, analysis and/or designs, and supporting calculations / documentation. You will also coordinate the drafting of project elements for various clients. This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category 30062) to fulfil T&M - Time and Materials (T&M) requirements.

Provide Civil Site Designer DS 105 Support Services to the U.S. Department of Energy | Savannah River Site (SRS) in Aiken, SC 29808. This professional works as part of a Staff Augmentation Support Service Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) on behalf of The S

Civil Site Designer - Engineering Candidates shall work to support requirements for Technical General Support Services (GSSC) related to NAICS: - Environmental Consulting Services, NAICS: - Scientific and Technical Consulting Services - Energy, and NAICS: - Professional Scientific Technical Consulting Services and

Provide civil site designer support services to assigned SRR Engineering Teams.

Civil site design includes: site surveys, site layout, site grading, and stormwater

systems; surface design using 2D and 3D Microstation and Bentley In-Roads;

roadway layout and pavement design; preparation of earthwork quantities;

above ground and underground utilities including routing; and coordination and

resolution of conflicts with site survey, design and construction personnel for

field related activities.

Individual at times will be required to travel off Site to interface

with vendors, fabricators and other Engineering organizations.

Design services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures.

Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.

Qualifications

The Civil Site Designer - Engineering shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years. Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

Associates Degree from an approved technical program related to civil site

design or an equivalent of 10 years experience. Candidate must demonstrate six (6) years experience as a Designer. Knowledge

of 2D and 3D Microstation and Bentley In-Roads software is essential. Candidate

must have ability to produce design drawings for site layout, site grading (plan

and cross sections), roadway layout and profiles, above ground/underground

utilities, and stormwater drainage structures. Candidate must have ability to

perform measurements and prepare earthwork quantities. Candidate must have

the ability to walk down systems in the field. A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules;

including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days

per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B).

Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch. A security clearance is not required.

U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen

Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)
