Noblis MSD's mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions' to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. We are looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer to provide Test Site support to various ship programs for the US Navy.
The Test Site Engineer position will design, evaluate, plan, test and operate mechanical equipment and systems for commercial, government, military and/or scientific uses. The candidate's primary duties and responsibilities include:
+ **Test Planning and Design:**
+ Develops and documents comprehensive test plans, procedures, and scripts.
+ Determines appropriate testing methodologies and strategies.
+ Ensuring all test procedures meet government and industry standards.
+ Identifies test cases and scenarios to validate functionality, performance, and security.
+ **Test Execution:**
+ Performs various types of testing, including functional, performance, security, and regression testing.
+ Manages and executes test environments, ensuring they are set up correctly.
+ Documents test results and identifies defects.
+ Preparing test reports
+ **Defect Management:**
+ Reports and tracks defects and issues.
+ Collaborates with developers to resolve identified issues.
+ Ensures that defects are fixed and verified.
+ **Continuous Improvement:**
+ Analyzes test results to identify areas for improvement in testing processes and strategies.
+ Participates in the development of test automation scripts to improve efficiency.
+ Stays up-to-date with the latest testing tools and technologies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related degree and 3 years of experience in Mechanical engineering with an understanding of mechanical systems and testing experience
+ US Citizen with an active DoD security clearance at SECRET level or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
+ Experience in all stages of testing
+ Experience with equipment design principles
+ Familiarity with 2D/3D engineering design & manufacturing tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or Pipe Flo)
+ Experience reviewing models and drawings for manufacturability of parts
+ Experience with documentation development including drawings, technical manuals (operation, assembly, troubleshooting, and repair), Bill of Materials
+ Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
+ Familiarity military specifications for technical design
Desired Qualifications
+ Experience with Submarine systems
+ Experience working with detailed specifications under configuration management
+ Experience interfacing directly with US military technical representatives
+ Experience working with equipment suppliers, vendors and test facilities
+ Experience in Jira
+ Prior DoD/Navy experience

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
