  • Develop and drive execution of optimized strategies to secure profitable business for the highly competitive onshore wind turbine business segments for North America.

  • Develop proposals; negotiate with customers; ensure deals deliver shareholder value; drive competitive pricing. May include compiling and submitting required tender documentation.

  • Requires specialized knowledge across product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups. Requires strong commercial awareness, and is expected to influence the development of strategy for their broad sales territory, including control of resources.

  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.

  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

  • Team with counterparts in field sales, and interface directly with customers, on all transactions, studies, estimates and formal offerings during opportunity development through the complete inquiry / sales / commitment management process.

  • Mobilize and lead multifunctional Renewable Energy team to execute the transaction strategy (engineering, manufacturing, finance, contracts, project management, legal, partner, etc.).

  • Become principal owner and driver of transaction details related to all technical, financial, and commercial aspects to support strategy development, execution and risk management processes.

The salary range for this position is $ 128,400.00 - 171,100.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent (minimum of 4 years of professional experience)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Customer Service or equivalent experience associated with gas / steam turbine / power plant, hydro, or wind power products.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with reviewing customer specifications, proposal development, contract development and direct negotiations for equipment and/ or services sales and consortium agreements.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 35% of the time.

The Onshore Wind Engineering Technician role is a hands-on, in-person operational support role located in Schenectady, NY. The successful candidate will learn how to demonstrate proficiency in maintaining and managing assembly tools with the proper function, calibration, and upkeep. This tooling is used in the assembly of wind turbines, guaranteeing operational safety and efficiency in the GE's world class 6MW+ onshore wind turbine factory.
**Job Description**
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and manual tools/equipment.
+ Conduct periodic calibrations according to manufacturer specifications and internal standards.
+ Diagnose faults in torque tools and carry out repairs or forward them to specialized service centers.
+ Manage the inventory of torque tools (check-in, check-out, usage, maintenance, and disposal).
+ Track the life cycle of equipment and issue performance and condition reports.
+ Ensure proper storage and readiness of all tools in compliance with safety and operational standards.
+ Test torque tools and validate accuracy before dispatching them to field teams.
+ Assist in training operators on the safe and correct use of torque equipment
+ Maintain accurate records of inspections, calibrations, and maintenance (manual or via CMMS system).
+ Issue calibration certificates, inspection reports, and technical assessments as required by audits or quality standards.
+ Support Manufacturing Engineers in their activities related to the assembly process.
**Qualifications/Requirements:**
+ High School Diploma/GED
+ Currently pursuing a degree in a technical program or relevant apprenticeship

Total Rewards : We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $15,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary.

This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. Join UL Solutions as Project Manager , driving Independent Engineering (IE) and Technical Advisory (TA) services for onshore wind project financing, sales, and acquisitions. Be at the forefront of wind energy advancements while collaborating with top-tier clients and a multi-disciplinary team.

The role can be hybrid or remote in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of onshore wind projects.
  • Act as front-line contact on project related activities, issues, and risks. Manage the project risks and issues and escalates accordingly.
  • Interface with Business Unit Leaders, and with Finance, and develops ROI, IRR and other financial measures.
  • Manage stakeholders' communication and escalates accordingly.
  • Adhere to program and project governance (controls).
  • Plan the overall project and monitor the progress. Performs daily project management throughout the project's life cycle.
  • Manage the projects budget and financial performance.
  • Coordinate the projects and their interdependencies.
  • Manage and utilizes resources.
  • Align the deliverables (outputs) to the project's outcome with the aid of the business change manager.
Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of experience as a project manager in onshore wind energy due diligence, project development, construction, equipment supply, operation or mergers and acquisitions.
  • At least bachelors-level education and core competence in a relevant field, e.g., mechanical, civil or electrical engineering, construction management, operations and maintenance, commercial, legal, finance, business
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and successfully manage multiple complicated projects.

Total Rewards : We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary.

This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
