What will you do?
- Complete thorough patient intakes, screenings, and assessments that incorporate the unique characteristics and needs of each patient and family member into the plan of care.
- Triage referrals for acute needs to other members of the Cortica team
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team members to coordinate compendium of care for each patient.
- Utilize the nursing process, scientific reasoning and critical problem solving to practice within the scope of responsibilities as defined by the State Board of Nursing including placing orders and screening tests in in accordance with approved protocol(s) and guidelines.
- Provide ongoing education to families enrolled in our medical program on a diverse set of well-delineated topics including what it means to have an autism label, how to help you child sleep, pill-swallowing, sexuality, navigating the school system and much more.
- Provide nutrition evaluation and dietary support in concert with our speech and occupational therapy team. Our program is based on the SOS feeding approach and Cortica's nutrition framework.
- Work with our cognitive and behavioral child neurologists and pediatricians to provide ongoing care for attention, sleep, headaches, and challenging behavior, medication management as well as medical follow-ups.

- You are knowledgeable regarding diagnoses and therapies for the following conditions: Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Speech and Language delay, Sensory Processing Disorder, Headaches, Insomnia, Epilepsy (seizure action plan, safety), sensory processing disorder and other neurodevelopmental diagnosis.
- You have a minimum of 12 months in pediatric practice in an outpatient setting (pediatric or family nurse practitioner), preferably behavioral neurology and/or Neurodevelopmental Medicine (NDM) and pediatric behavior disorders, including autism.
- You are proficient in ADIR/ADOS diagnostic evaluation (Gold standard).
- You have a telemedicine skillset including ability to leverage multiple forms of technology simultaneously in efforts to document while connecting with patients. (EMR, virtual wait rooms).
- You hold a current and unrestricted license and/or certification that is required to practice within your clinical domain and obtain cross-state licensure in new states as indicated by the current business needs.
- You have a knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

Job Summary:
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

We invite you to consider our per diem opportunity to earn supplemental income as an Independent Contracted Nurse. The assessments are completed face to face in the claimant's homes.
* This is a 1099 contract position to earn supplemental income. You will need a portable computer with Windows or tablet with camera.
* In this role, you will complete in-depth cognitive and functional assessments with clients in their homes.
* You will complete structured assessments, focusing on accuracy and efficiency.
* You will be focused on observing and reporting the current status of the individual. You must remain objective.
* You will coordinate all scheduling with client or their point of contact using contact information provided to you.
* You will submit an assessment within 24 hours through an online application. Upon submission, our review team will reach out with any needed clarifications by telephone within 48 hours. An assessment is not considered complete until all clarifications are answered.
* You will be paid $125 per assessment within a 35 mile radius, upon completion of each assessment.
