Responsibilities:
* Organize the day-to-day operations within assigned work area to meet production schedules in the most efficient manner.

* Continuously improve operations by identifying causes of waste and implementing change, including workplace layouts, communication methods, and production processes.
* Recommend workplace layouts, production methods, and production efficiencies by auditing operations to improve production flow and reduce costs.
* Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production Control, Quality, and Marketing teams to implement changes in product design, tooling, equipment, delivery methods, supplier defects, and delivery schedules
**Qualifications**
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of experience required, OR in lieu of degree a HS Diploma/GED required, and 5 or more years of manufacturing experience, supervisory experience preferred

**Role Purpose**
The Operations Leader is responsible for providing operational leadership to the production of cell culture media and serum products. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the role drives plant management strategies and employs lean tools to improve safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and unit cost. This position provides direction, vision, and supervision to plant operations team members, ensuring the achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Operational Leadership:**
Manage Production, Warehouse, Planning, Logistics, and Plant Facilities, ensuring smooth operations and efficiency. Lead shift leads and hourly teams with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost. Oversee production schedules to meet targets while maintaining high standards. Drive continuous improvement through Lean and Six Sigma tools like Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and DMAIC. Develop and implement Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) strategies for serum production, aligning demand, inventory, and operations.
**Team Management and Development:**
Recruit, interview, and hire hourly personnel, fostering growth through training programs and annual evaluations. Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to align team skills with organizational goals. Promote a collaborative, team-oriented culture by leading by example, encouraging open communication, and fostering accountability. Motivate employees to achieve individual and team objectives while building a culture of trust and respect.
**Quality and Compliance:**
Ensure manufacturing aligns with ISO 13485 and FDA Quality System Regulations. Enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (QOPs), Master Manufacturing Records (MMRs), and other critical practices. Implement standard operating procedures and enforce process discipline, ensuring consistency and compliance. Maintain rigorous change control and adherence to control set-points to mitigate risks and uphold high-quality standards.
**Hands-On Leadership:**
Actively participate in manufacturing processes, offering hands-on support for bulk production, troubleshooting, and addressing operational gaps. Provide formulation support and review to ensure accurate production processes. Lead real-time troubleshooting of equipment and process failures, collaborating with other departments to resolve issues efficiently. Step in when needed to maintain uninterrupted production and ensure high performance.
**Process Improvement and Reporting:**
Analyze production and financial reports to identify variances and develop improvement plans. Share key performance metrics with teams, plant staff, and leadership to drive transparency and informed decision-making. Lead New Product Development (NPD) programs for the plant, ensuring successful execution. Oversee internal and external Gamma Irradiation processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency. Provide guidance for the Reserves Management Program to optimize resource utilization.

**Experiences/Education - Required**
+ Bachelor's degree (BS/BA), preferably in a biological or chemical science field.
+ 3-5 years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment.

About the role
As the Assistant Operations Leader in a Wonder restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the General Manager in day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth functioning and success of our restaurant. You will work closely with the General Manager and other team members to create a positive work environment, prioritize food safety and team member safety, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Manage Operations and Drive Results
- Assist Sr Operations Leader in developing, engaging, inspiring, and motivating staff members
- Recruit and train top talent for the restaurant
- Aid Sr Operations Leader in achieving operational goals and budget targets
- Maintain clear and consistent communication regarding team achievements, priorities, protocols, and operational changes
- Demonstrate effective floor management by optimizing staff deployment for maximum efficiency
- Drive restaurant sales and service efficiency by resolving operational obstacles
- Supervise inventory and food safety protocols to ensure accuracy and efficiency, emphasizing adherence to shelf life and product dating guidelines
- Commit to ongoing training and development in both kitchen and dining room operations to uphold standards and guidelines
Manage Food Safety and Team Member Safety
- Maintain consistent adherence to food safety and security standards
Provide Best in Class Customer Service
- Ensure all team members deliver excellent customer service
The experience you have
- At least two years of restaurant supervisor or management (Assistant Manager, Restaurant Manager, etc.) experience in a high-volume Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or full-service restaurant
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and develop teams of 15+ members
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a strong drive for efficiency and accuracy
- Demonstrates professionalism and adheres to policies and procedures
- Exhibits effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team player
Requirements
- Must be 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the US
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for a full shift while working
- Must have open availability, including night and weekend availability
- Must have a current Food Handlers Certification
