**The role you'll contribute:**
The Process Improvement Specialist II position is responsible for independently scoping and leading the successful management and execution of tactical improvement initiatives. The candidate is expected at a minimum to be well-versed with the concepts, principles, and theories behind continuous process improvement and total quality management. A qualified candidate must be able to prioritize and manage multiple competing projects, deadlines, and customer relationships, while interacting effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior executives & physicians, to affect change within the organization. A successful candidate should be able to transfer clients' perceptions of problems into viable solutions and actionable items, utilizing diplomacy and flexibility in response to clients' changing concerns, while maintaining oversight of cost, schedule, and quality to ensure that critical milestones and deliverables are completed in a timely manner. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

+ Serves as a change agent and process facilitator for tactical improvement initiatives.
+ Conducts analysis, documents processes, develops and implements effective controls, and optimizes processes to increase operational performance and reduce costs.
+ Utilizes PI principles and tools, including value stream maps, standard work, 6s, visual management, facilitation, and change management skills to support continuous improvement.
+ Prioritize and manage multiple competing projects, deadlines, and customer relationships.
Qualifications
**The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:**
+ Master's Degree Required
+ 4 of relevant experience, or functional equivalence
+ 2 of relevant experience in Engineering, Healthcare, Business, or related field
+ Lean Manufacturing/Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or other equivalent quality certification

Our client, a leading player in the industrial sector, is looking for an accomplished Lead Process Improvement Engineer to join their innovative team in Orlando, Florida, US . This role operates under a hybrid work model, offering a balance between essential on-site collaboration and remote flexibility. You will be instrumental in driving significant enhancements in operational efficiency, productivity, and quality across our client's manufacturing and operational processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles, and a proven ability to implement sustainable process improvements.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams in the identification, analysis, and resolution of process inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
  • Develop and implement strategic process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Conduct detailed process mapping and value stream analysis to identify areas for optimization and cost reduction.
  • Design, test, and implement new processes and procedures to enhance operational performance and product quality.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented improvements and track progress.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for employees on process improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of process changes.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on findings, recommendations, and project outcomes for senior management.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions in industrial engineering and process optimization.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in their professional development and project execution.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-9 years of progressive experience in process engineering, industrial engineering, or operations management, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing Lean manufacturing principles, statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software, CAD tools, and data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, Excel, SQL).
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex improvement projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach with a passion for driving change and achieving operational excellence.
