The leader will join our team of qualified, diverse, individuals in Clearfield, UT or Palmdale, CA. Working as a team with the Field Project Manager, this role ensures a seamless connection between the office and the jobsite. Together, the Field PM and Ops PM share in the responsibility for project success by planning, executing, and delivering projects meeting company quality standards, timelines, and budgets.



Project Planning & Coordination

Reviews project plans, specifications, and schedules before construction begins.

Participate in the project launch meeting with Pre-Con Manager, Field PM, President, and Vice President. Collaborates with Field PM in the development of detailed project timelines and works with Superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely completion of project milestones.

Proactively identifies issues that could impact the project schedule, budget, or quality. Works in tandem with Field PM for complete and timely resolution.

Monitor jobsite performance reports from Field PM and provide operational support to quickly address challenges and maintain progress.

Schedules and manages subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment deliveries to align with project needs.

Attends weekly PM/Superintendent meetings with Field PM to ensure timely communication regarding project progress, upcoming milestones, and to resolve issues.



With input from Field PM, develops and maintains detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plans.

Ensures accurate and consistent use of Buildertrend project management software by all team members. Ensures all client updates reflect input from both the operations and field perspectives.

Ensures all project documents (client contract, subcontractor agreements, final quotes, permits, etc.) are in place prior to commencement of site work.

Review vendor invoices and payment applications for accuracy prior to AP department processing, ensuring all contract requirements and documentation are completed before payments are released.

Generates change order requests from SOW received from the Field PM or President.

Collaborates with the Contract Administrator in tracking job costs, progress billings, monitoring project budget versus actual, and budget adjustments as may be required.

Maintains organized digital and physical project files for uniformity and easy access.



Supervision of Assistant Project Manager:

Directs the Assistant Project Manager in building and maintaining client material selections, logs, and spec books.

Oversees the APM in the organization of active client database, digital job folders, specifications, and plans.

Oversees the APM in securing and maintaining current subcontractor COIs in Buildertrend.

Works alongside APM in the vendor ordering process from approved quotes and material selections to ensure accuracy.

Oversees the APM in receiving, inspecting, and maintaining inventory of materials (plumbing trims, decorative lighting, etc.)



Collaboration with Field Project Manager:

Participates in regular planning meetings to review project status, upcoming needs, and potential issues.

Provides Field PM with updated schedules, budget status, and procurement timelines.

Serve as Field PMs main office contact for resolving vendor, subcontractor, supplier or client issues in a timely and thorough fashion.



Serves as operational point of contact for clients and subcontractors during project lifecycle.
